I had a good friend over one day and she suggested moving my main desk so that I was looking out into the play area, rather than with my back to it. Can you say duh? Why didn't I think of that - thank goodness I have brilliant friends! I also added another table (a Coleman camping table - hee hee!) just for more surface area and storage.
See the space heater on the floor in the lower right hand quadrant? My hubby brought that home for me one day - without me asking - what a sweetie!
I made this ink pad holder the other day out of 2 sheets of foam core board. Cost me all of $3 plus hot glue that I already had. It was pretty easy and it's pretty sturdy. The original design called for 5 equal columns, but since I don't own that many SU ink pads, I decided to modify it for my own needs. I got the pattern off of this blog. I plan to make another for my ribbon spools, just like this one - maybe today even!
Lastly, I made these two little baskets. I have been wanting something to put my cards in out in my front entrance - I often have friends who want to "shop" for cards while they're here and I didn't have anything pretty to put them in. I got this pattern off of Sharon Johnson's blog and modified it so it would be a little bigger for my landscape cards as well. I ended up making two boxes out of this gorgeous Amy Butler paper and they were super easy!Anyway, sorry for the really long winded post. Hope that maybe something is helpful to you!

I made this card a couple weeks ago. This one was to sell - so it's one of my more simple cards. I love this set by MFT - You Take the Cake. I reach for it often as it's just perfect for birthday cards.
I just want to thank you for stopping by! I appreciate each and every one of you and love it when you leave comments.

I've been busy organizing! I made an ink pad holder out of foam core board and I made a couple of baskets from paper to hold my completed cards for sale in. I'll post pics tomorrow! Hope you're having a great weekend!

P.S. Thanks for all the well wishes for my daughter. She seems to be healing well, even though her temperament is still bruised!

My second card was for Taylor's cupcake challenge over at the eclectic Paperie (eP) forum/gallery. I really wanted to use this patterned paper that I had leftover from those recipe books I made at Christmas, and I still had my chocolate chip cardstock out. So this is what I came up with. I had so much fun colouring this image with my copics.
I also used my copics to colour the twill - it used to be natural white until I used my two red markers on it!
Anyway, thanks for looking. Hope you had a good weekend! I may or may not be posting tomorrow, depending on my daughter and her health.

These bright cards were made last week. I used some paper from a DCWV glitter stack and matched everything up to it. It's very sparkly in person and I loved stamping the sentiment directly onto the patterned paper - do you think it's too hard to see?
Anyway, hope you have a great weekend! I still plan to post this weekend as I deserve some time for me (i.e. stamping time) - right?!

I found out about their story on Becky Oehlers blog - Hemidemisemiquaver. I believe she is best friends with Tricia's sister Janet.

I did have fun with it though! I flocked the brown border around the pink bathmat - it's all fuzzy! I covered the tub and the mirror with Crystal effects and while it was still wet, I sprinkled Martha Stewart fine glitter over the mirror to make it sparkly. The image panel itself is super pretty - but the layout is forced. I was trying to do the sketch challenge at SCS, and should have abandoned it - but I'm stubborn!
Oh and I've been reading this book! It's awesome! I highly recommend it!
Anyway, thanks for looking. Sorry for the lapse in posting over the last couple days. We are dealing with health issues with all three sets of our parents and it is taxing me. I'm off to my stamp club tonight and we're going to a Toronto Raptors game tomorrow for hubby's birthday. I'll post sometime in between!
