Krafty Challenge - Keep Cozy!

Welcome back to another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge!  This week Elaine has challenged us to make a card around the theme of "Keep Cozy" or to use a warm, cozy, colour scheme.  I really wanted to use this super sweet Lucas stamp from the Snow Day Lucas set, so you'll just have to get creative with my theme!  Perhaps something along the lines of..."He's warm and cozy in his snowsuit!" or maybe.... "He's got a warm and cozy heart!".  Those both work, right?!

I paired Lucas up with some Basic Grey Aspen papers and a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  I added some stitching, brads and rhinestones and called it all good!

Make sure you hop over to the challenge blog to see all the amazing cards from the Krafty Girls and Guests!  I hope you'll join us and play along with our challenge!  You can even get creative with your theme, like I did!  I won't tell!

I've used one of the adorable Party Monsters and paired him up with some bright, fun papers.  I just love that one eye and tongue!  That's my kind of monster!  This is an older layout from Retro Sketches and I added a button and sentiment flag for embellishment (big surprise - seems to be my embellishment of choice these days!).

***ONE LAST THING!!! Our HUGE RETIREMENT SALE is still going on right now at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps with so many stamps up to 75% OFF and some stamps as low as $1.50!  Say what?  Yep!  We need to make room for all the new stamps coming our way in 2013, so we're retiring a lot of stamps!! SFYTT - Take Two!

Hey all!  I'm back with my second post of the day, and what will also be my final Sketch For You To Try post since Jen has decided to step away.

I've used a Circus Trinket from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that will be released tonight!  I kept it pretty simple since the background paper is quite busy - adding some solid panels and a ticket strip for the middle layer.  I layered my trinket on top of a ticket I die cut from patterned paper.  I sponged the edges of all my layers with Vintage Photo ink.  The papers are all from the Echo Park Take Note 6x6 pad.

Don't forget to check out my sketch sisters to see the fabulous creations they've come up with. And you can visit Jen's blog to link up your card for your chance to win big at the end of the year!

Krafty Peeks - Circus, Circus!

This month we have a unique twist on a common theme...... CIRCUS GIRLS!  Prepare to be amazed by the greatest show on earth! (Cue the big top music!).  Just wait 'til you see all the incredible creations by the Krafty Girls and Guests featuring Arielle, Beatrix with her dog Bijou, Clementine, Esmerelda, Godiva and Ruby the Ringmistress!!

Check out all the amazing creations on today's hop in combination with this week's challenge!! The lovely ALICE is our hostess this week and her challenge features a fantastic SKETCH! Use the sketch she has provided as inspiration for your card or scrapbook page! And the random winner of this week's challenge will receive the new ARIELLE, as featured on Alice's gorgeous creation.  We really hope you are inspired by this week's challenge and share your inky creations!

Below you will find all the Krafty Girls and Guests who have goodies to show you today and while you're visiting their blogs, be sure to leave some love at each stop because TWO lucky ladies are each going to WIN a package of today's stamps!

I've used Ruby the Ringmistress for my card, and I must confess that I may have tweaked the sketch a little to fit my design.  I coloured her up with my copics to match some older Echo Park papers.  I added some rhinestones and a sentiment flag (and I gave my circle a straight edge and extended my panel to the bottom of the card unlike the original sketch - don't tell, K?!).

ALL of our DECEMBER stamps will be available TOMORROW at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop! So be sure to come on back to enjoy our Release Day Krafty HOP!

I've used an adorable grinning monster holding a box full of trouble!  I coloured him up to match my MME Lime Twist papers and added a button and sentiment flag as well.

Krafty Peeks - Best Fur-iends

Welcome back to our DECEMBER Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks! Today we are excited to share the ADORABLE new set by artist Cheryl Alger! You'll recognize these characters from previous sets.....Lulu and little sister Libby, Lexi and Lucas! And they are having a fabulous time caring for their furry friends! It's BEST FUR-IENDS!!!

All the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests listed below have lots of super designs to show you, so be sure to hop over to each of them! And while you're there, be sure to leave a comment because we are giving away one of EACH of the new sets.  You could WIN the new BEST FUR-IENDS stamp set!

I pulled out some older MME Stella Rose papers and paired it with this adorable Lulu & Libby image.  I just love the look on the puppy's face!  The layout is a Sweet Sunday sketch and I kept it pretty simple embellishment wise, since the pattern papers are pretty loud on their own!

Come on back tomorrow to check out MORE new stamps we have to show you , this time by artist Emilie Goulet! And ALL the new stamps will be available on Sunday at the KKStamps Shop!

KKS Peeks - Circus Trinkets

We are kicking off the *New* DECEMBER Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets! We are very excited to share with you our GORGEOUS….CIRCUS TRINKETS!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting! This month we are releasing the CIRCUS Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.

Today we have awesome samples that the Krafty Girls have put together for you....and be sure to comment on each and every stop because one lucky stamper is going to WIN the new CIRCUS TRINKETS set! {And just WAIT 'til you see how they combine with our other NEW December stamps!}

I fell in love with the font on this "Life Is A Circus" trinket and stamped it in black ink, and coloured the letters in with a copic marker.  I paired it with December's Sketch For You To Try and some Echo Park papers.  I also added a swirl, stitching, brads, and ribbon for embellishment.  I think this would make a great encouragement card!

SFYTT Finale!

How cool is it that this month's Sketch For You To Try actually falls on the first of the month!  But today's post is also bittersweet because Jen has decided to take a break from sketches.  You can read all about it over on her blog.  I have absolutely LOVED being a sketch sister and am so grateful to have had this opportunity!

I've paired this month's sketch with our weekly Kraftin' Kimmie challenge to make a cold/snow themed card.  I've used the Lexi's Winter Fun set and paired it with a Winter Trinket.  The papers are all from a Bella Carte pad called (appropriately enough) Winter.  You can hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie blog to see cards from all the Krafty Girls and Guests as well as all the challenge details.

Here's this month's sketch.  You can see that I mirror-imaged the sketch for my card and added a circle sentiment as well (I'm a rebel like that!).

You'll definitely want to hop over and see what the rest of my sketch sisters have cooked up for you - they're amazing!
