MFT Teasers - Inspired by Love

Hey all! I'm back today with a couple of MFT cards that I made with the new Inspired by set - Inspired by Love. I am in love with this set - it has both great images and sentiments. Make sure to check Kim's blog at 11am EST today for links to all the designers sharing teasers today. You'll also find our December temporary team on that list and they've got some amazing eye candy too!

I kept my first card pretty simple and used some Jillibean soup Pasta Faglioli patterned papers to go with the images. I cut the red script pattern with the new Textile Rectangle die and layered it with some ribbon and that cute heart. The heart is stamped on Riding Hood red cardstock with versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. I also stamped the "cherish" sentiment with Versafine ink and embossed it with clear powder so that it would stand out against the patterned paper.

I used one of the beautiful sentiments and the Small Scallop border die for the inside.

For my second card I used the awesome cupid image from the set. I stamped it with Versafine ink and used clear embossing powder so it would stand out. I have to say that the specks you see in the picture is the light reflecting off of the embossing - the image is fully filled in and gorgeous in real life. I also used another one of the sentiments in the Framed Greetings die and layered the bottom with the Jumbo Scallop die and the Scalloped Scallop die. I added a prima rose and some Swarovski pearls for accents.

I used two more of the stamps for the inside. The music notes were inked in Memento London Fog ink and stamped off once. The "Love" sentiment is stamped over top in Pretty in Pink ink.

MFT Teasers - Pure Innocence

Hello friends and Happy Monday! I know I've told you before that Monday is my favorite MFT teaser day since it's Pure Innocence day. Today I have two cards to share with you. To see teasers from the design team and our amazing December team, check Kim's blog at 11am EST. Have you seen the December team's work? They're rocking this release!

First up is Pure Innocence Splish Splash. I just love these Boy and his Dog sets, and this one is no exception. I've paired him with some Basic Grey Marjolaine papers and pieced his overalls and coat. The clouds are cut with the Die-namics Cloud Trio die out of some MFT felt. I've also used the Little Open Scallop strip die and some baby braddies, both in the corners as well as on his coat.

I finished the inside off with another one of the sentiments from the set as well.
My second card uses Pure Innocence - Love You With All My Heart and this cutie comes with some awesome sentiments. I've used the November Dirty Dozen sketch from Splitcoast and some My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary papers. I also added a rolled rose cut from the die, a black Swarovski pearl, some crochet ribbon, and some baby braddies.

I also used the Perfect Bracket Edge die for the inside of the card.

MFT Teasers - Flower Silhouettes and Flapper Doodles

Welcome to Day 2 of MFT Teasers for our December release. I have two cards to share with you today and I know that the rest of the design team and our temporary Dec. team have more amazing things to show you as well. For links to all the designers sharing teasers today, check Kim's blog after 11am EST.

The new Flower Silhouette stamp and die set is so pretty! My die is stuck in the postal system somewhere, so I decided just to use one of the awesome sentiments from the set. I paired it with some Theresa Collins Christmas papers and the Die-namics Decorative Doily die and the Faux Crochet border die. I also added some royalty ribbon and some baby braddies.

I finished the inside off with another border and a sentiment from Merry & Bright.

I also made another card using those sassy Flapper Doodles. This set is called Cheers to a New Year and comes with 3 great sentiments that could easily be for any occasion. I paired them with some Crate Snow Day papers and some fabulous fringe. I cut some stars using the Stacking Stars die and added some Swarovski clear crystals.

MFT Teasers - Textile Rectangle Frame Duo

Hey all! I can't believe it's already time for MFT Teasers for the December release. I also can't believe it's almost December - where did November go? Anyway, I have a couple of cards for you today. For a list of all the designers sharing teasers today (including our fabulous temporary team) you'll want to check Kim's blog after 11am EST.

My first card uses the new Textile Rectangle Frame and Stamp set duo. This is a fabulous new Die-namic shape with 3 matching frames and some fabulous sentiments. Here I've paired it with some Cosmo Cricket Wanted paper and the Stacking Stars Die-Namics die. I also added some cotton twill and sponged some tea dye over it to rough it up a little. The layout is from the Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.
I finished the inside off with another frame and sentiment from the set as well as a leftover stacking star, the Small Scallop Border die, and the Oval Chain Border die.
My second card uses the frame and die from Textile Rectangles, but uses a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Teaching. This set was available last month as the Triple Scoop set and will be fully released this month. I used some Basic Grey Jovial papers so that I could make a Christmas card for my son's teacher. This layout is the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.
The sentiment on the inside is from Merry & Bright and I used the Die-namics Small Scallop Border die and the Perfect Bracket Edge die.

A Thankful Wednesday Stamp Club

Happy Hump day friends! I'm playing along today with the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club challenge for this week. Seeing as it's Thanksgiving week for my American friends, we want to know what you're thankful for. Or alternatively we want to see your Thanksgiving themed cards, party favors, or table decorations. You'll find links to all the designers with samples over on Kim's blog at 11am EST. I hope you'll play along with us.

For my card I used Pure Innocence Bedtime Story and coloured her up to look like my daughter. I'm so thankful for my family. I love my two kids and lately we've been spending a lot of time reading. My son is working on improving his reading and my daughter is just learning how. I paired my image with some Jillibean Soup Pasta Fagioli papers and used Jen's sketch for you to try for the layout. I added some cotton twill and an Earth Girl button (currently being re-stocked) to finish it off.

I used both the Die-namics Open Scallop border die and the Star Border die for the inside of my card.Oh and before you go, check this out!

Making a List!

I must confess - I'm a list maker. I love making lists. Whether they're on paper, on my ipod, in my calendar, doesn't matter - I've got them everywhere. So this little Pure Innocence girl from last month's MFT release speaks to me (Making a List - currently being re-stocked).

I stamped my image on some X-Press it blending cardstock and I paired her with some Jillibean Soup papers and some cork. The layout is from Taylor's sketch challenge and I added some baby braddies. I stayed pretty true to the sketch for once.
I finished the inside off by stamping the image again in London Fog ink and adding some matching patterned papers cut with the Die-namics Small Scallop border die.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful Monday and I'll see you back here soon.

Cute Willard!

Happy Friday! TGIF! I'm so glad to be at the end of the week and looking forward to the weekend. I've been sick with an awful cough and am looking forward to some quiet time to recuperate and maybe stamp a little too. I did see yesterday that Kraftin' Kimmie was sponsoring a sketch challenge over at Cute Card Thursday and I had to join in.

I wanted to get Willard inky - I bought him at Kraftin' Kimmie day and hadn't had a chance to use him yet. I love the look on his face. I coloured him up with my copics and paired him with some Basic Grey Jovial papers. I layered a snowflake cut from the MFT Let it Snowflake die over some felt ribbon and finished it off with a button and some twine.
I used liquid applique for the fuzzy parts of his hat (or tuque as we would say here in Canada). I use a Jody tip for the applique and let it dry overnight before heating it. I get the best results that way.
Enjoy your weekend friends! Thanks for stopping by.

MFT December VIP Hop

Welcome to the MFT VIP hop for the December release. I can't believe we're only two weeks away from December - Christmas is coming fast! Here's your chance to buy yourself an early Christmas present. If you've just stumbled onto this post, you'll want to start back at the beginning, over on Kim's blog.

Although this month's set is definitely geared towards Valentine's Day, I truly believe that chocolate is a cure-all for whatever ails you, no matter what month we're in! I decided to use one of the accessory images for my card and left off a sentiment (although the ones in the set and in the FREE Additions set are awesome) so I could use if for a variety of occasions. I'm thinking this is a great, "I'm sorry you had such a yucky day" card that would accompany a big box of chocolates.
The papers are all from Doodlebug and I used the DieNamics Small Scallop Border die on either side of my brown floral strip. I coated my chocolates with a clear glaze pen to make them all shiny.

Don't forget that the VIP package is only available for one day or while quantities last! It's now available and you can get it HERE. The two à la modes we've been previewing are also now available right HERE. Now you're off to see Susan - I know she'll have something amazing for you to drool over. Thanks for hopping by!

MFT Teasers - Take Time à la mode

Hey all! I'm back today with another MFT à la mode teaser for you. This set is called Take Time and it comes with a whole schwack (there's my fave technical term again!) of awesome sentiments that make it super versatile. As always, you'll want to head over to Kim's blog at 11am EST for links to all the designers sharing teasers today.

I stamped my à la mode on some X-Press It cardstock (love this stuff!) and sponged around my nestability with some Memento Desert Sand ink. The papers are all Cosmo Cricket Pixielicious and the layout is from Jen's sketch for you to try. I cut a couple of felt flowers using the DieNamics Perfect Petal Trio die and layered it with a buttony bow.

I finished off the inside with another sentiment, some more patterned papers, and the DieNamics Little Open Scallop Strip.
Don't forget that both à la modes are being released tonight at 10pm EST along with this month's VIP kit. I'll be back later tonight for our VIP blog hop - see you then!

MFT Teasers - Here's The Story à la mode

I can't believe it's time already for another MFT à la mode release! We've got teasers for you today and tomorrow and the stamps will go on sale Tuesday at 10pm EST along with this month's VIP kit. You'll definitely want to visit the MFT blog after 11am EST today for links to all the designers sharing Teasers today.

This set is called Here's The Story and I know that I'll get a lot of mileage out of this one. I have lots of reading friends/family as well as some librarian friends that will be getting cards with this stamp. For my card today, I used some October Afternoon papers and some stars cut with the DieNamics Stacking Stars die.

The layout is the current one from CPS. I finished the inside off with some more stars as well as the Jumbo Scallop die. I left the inside blank so I could use it for whichever occasion I need. Smart eh?

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see you back tomorrow with another à la mode teaser. Happy Monday!

Snow Much Fun!

Happy Saturday to you! First off I need to tell you that I think this is my favorite snowman stamp. It just plain makes me happy.

Although I'm not anxious for snow, I was wanting to use this new paper pad that I ordered. I paired my stamp with some Crate paper - Snow Day as well as some kiwi kiss and chocolate chip cardstock. I used the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics die for my snow and the Let it Snowflake die with some Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock. I added some baby braddies for his buttons and clear glaze pen over his nose. The layout is from Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge.

I'm off to a haircut and then home to do some stamping! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you back on Monday for a MFT Teaser!

Randomness!

Is that even a word? Well I guess today it's one of mine. I haven't been around much because I was in Calgary visiting family and friends. I left my kids at home with my wonderful husband and enjoyed my time away!

I did have time to meet up with my friend Julie! Here's a quick pic. Julie's as beautiful in person as she is online and I SO enjoyed our shopping and lunch. Thanks girlie!

While in Calgary I also visited a new to me cupcake boutique - Crave.

One word - YUMMY!! Yes, I just shouted at you. Sorry. Kind of. But these cupcakes were amazing and worth shouting over. My mom and I tried Nutty Over Chocolate (Chocolate cake swirled with a peanut butter cream icing) - absolute heaven for a chocolate & peanut butter lover like myself! And we also tried Lemon Lime Twist - really good, but no Nutty Over Chocolate. I can't wait to go back to Calgary to try more flavors visit my family again.

And finally, because tomorrow is Remembrance Day here in Canada (Veterans Day for you Americans) I'm sharing this video. Love this song!

I'll be back later this week with a card to share! Thanks for stopping by!

MFT November Blog Hop & Shop

Welcome to the MFT November Blog Hop & Shop. All of the new stamps and Die-Namics dies are now available in the MFT boutique right HERE. If you've just stumbled upon this post you'll want to go back to the beginning to Kim's blog so that you won't miss any eye candy! One of the designers has an MFT gift voucher to give away, so make sure you leave comments on each blog to increase your chances of winning!

For my project I'm using this month's Who's That Girl set, Teacher's Pet. I decided to get a jump on my Christmas gifts by making a little gift set for my daughter's kindergarten teacher.

I paired my stamp with some Basic Grey Jovial papers and used a couple of the new Die-Namics dies as well. You'll see the new Little Open Scallop Strip peeking out from under the cotton twill (currently being re-stocked), as well as a couple of the new Stacking Stars.

I also used the new Decorative Doily die for the inside of my card and layered a circle cut from my Nestabilities over top.

Earlier in the fall I made a couple batches of pear jam, and I usually include a jar for the teachers, along with a gift card for their gift. I used the Decorative Doily die on some felt and it cut beautifully. I also used the Framed Greetings die and stamp set and added a sentiment from the Teacher's Pet set.
Here's a peek at the new dies that I used today in my project.

Next you're off to see my friend and new Dirty girl Christina. I know that her project will knock your socks off! Have a great night and happy shopping!

MFT Teasers - Merry & Bright

Welcome back to another MFT Teaser day! Today I'm sharing a card I made with a new Christmas sentiment set - Merry & Bright. This set has a variety of sentiments in a bunch of beautiful fonts. I know that I'll be reaching for it often for my Christmas cards this year.

I couldn't resist this particular sentiment when I saw it - I'm a big Bing Crosby fan and Holiday Inn and White Christmas are two of my very favorite Christmas movies. I stamped the sentiment on some patterned paper and also used the Framed Greetings die and stamp set for my panel. The papers are all Teresa Collins and I thought this sheet music pattern was perfect. I also used the Perfect Bracket Edge die but turned it around to use it as a layering piece. I finished my card off with some crochet ribbon (currently being re-stocked) and some Swarovski Princess pearls.

MFT Teasers - Pure Innocence Naptime

I'm back today with an MFT Pure Innocence teaser - and the new PI sets are so cute! I honestly couldn't decide which to ink up first. Naptime won out though, I think mainly because of the footed pj's. I just can't resist footed pj's - I'm pretty sure there's nothing cuter!

I paired this cutie with Jen's sketch for you to try and some Basic Grey Jovial paper. I finished it off with some buttons, twine, cotton twill (currently being re-stocked), and brads.

This card reminds me that I need to start shopping for Christmas pj's for my kids.
