Welcome to the MFT August Shop & Hop. This is one last chance to see all of the new products in use before you go off and shop! The hop starts over at Kim’s blog – so you’ll want to start there if you haven’t already. All the new products are now available in the MFT boutique and you can see them right HERE.
Today I have a couple of projects to show you using the new Tag You’re It stamp and Die-namics set. The first thing I made is a little giftie for my kids. The new Phineas & Ferb movie is being released on Friday (on TV – lol!) and my kids are dying to see it! It’s been marked on our calendar for over a month now – and I promised them we’d make it a party with goodies. So I packaged them up some faves (Orangina and Skittles dont’cha know?) and made them a tag as well. The “2” is from the new By The Number die and stamp set and the “2D” refers to the title of the movie. I’ve also used the Mini Film Strip die (currently being re-stocked) and the Stacking Stars die.
For the reverse, I printed out the advertisement for the movie and die cut it with the tag die and adhered it to the reverse side of my tag.
For my second project, I discovered that the Tag You’re It die is the perfect size for tucking into the Pretty Pocket die – how clever is that? So I cut two tags out of different papers and stuck them in a denim pocket.
On one of the tags, I attached a Starbucks gift card. Cute no? And super quick and easy to make.
And finally, I wanted to show you a super quick tag that I made. I love to bake and often give it away. This tag took me only a couple of minutes and with limited supplies. White cardstock, 3 colours of inks, and a scrap of ribbon. This will be fabulous attached to a tin of cookies or a loaf of bread.
Well you’re almost at the end of the hop. Your next (and last) stop is over to the amazingly talented Jenny Peterson. Not only is she Canadian, she was our fabulous Guest Designer this month and I know she has something to knock your socks off! Thanks for hopping by!
