MFT Guest Designer Contest Entry

I saw the contest over at the MFT forums on SCS and decided to play along with the challenge to make a project that was not square or rectangular. I was largely inspired by this post by Rebecca Oehlers where she used Papertrey stamps to create something entirely different than what was intended.

I used a few sets by My Favorite Things to create this cupcake. I admit, it's not the most pretty and I know I won't win - but it really challenged me. I used the cake stand from "You Take the Cake" to create the base and I used the mirror from "Time for the Bubbly" to create the cake part. I used the golf club from "Let's Hear it for the Boys" to make the candles. I used liquid applique, glitter and stickles all over the cake part.
