Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch Challenge

Morning all!  It's Saturday and that means it's time again for another challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie blog.  This week the oh so fabulous Pam has designed a sketch for us. LOVE!!  I'm a big fan of sketch challenges and this one is fabulous!

I pulled out this newly released Rescue Ranger stamp and paired her up with some new MME papers.  I thought the denim and wood plank patterns were perfect with the western feel of this stamp.  And how perfect is this sentiment that comes with the stamp?  And it's SO true!

Make sure you head over to the challenge blog to see the sketch itself as well as inspiration from all the amazing Krafty Girls and Guests!  Remember, if you play along and use a KKS stamp, you could win the stamp Pam used on her card - Coffee Crusader!  Cool, right?

Also this week's Frugal Friday Specials are up with six of our favourite stamps on special for 40% OFF!

Lulu is back from Cheryl Alger.....we know how much you love her! So we have a new set called LULU AND FRIENDS! We also have TWO fantastic sets of feathered images from Emilie Goulet called TWEETS AND TWITTERS 1 and TWEETS AND TWITTERS 2! And of course we have an amazing new set of six SUPERHEROES from Annie Rodrigue! And don’t forget the perfect new set to work with ALL your stamps.....IN STITCHES.

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our FEBRUARY Krafty Hop! If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog. And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all’. The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!

I made a card to show you using the new Coffee Crusader stamp.  I just love this image as I'm a bit of a coffee addict and have friends who share my addiction.  I paired her with some new MME papers and added a speech bubble and a glittery flourish.  It's hard to see in the picture but the rays bursting out from her cup, and the steam rising are covered with spica pen as well.

Now I'm sending you off to the amazing Cheryl Alger - the talent behind our newest Lulu set!  I know she'll have something fabulous for you to see!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

February Sketch For You To Try - Take Two!

Welcome back to my second Sketch For You To Try post for February.  We're trying hard to provide you with lots of inspiration and hope you'll play along with us!  This month we're sponsored by Your Next Stamp - a fabulous Canadian company with awesome stamps!

I chose to keep this fairly simple and make a sentiment-only card.  It may have something to do with the fact that we're smack dab in the middle of a kitchen renovation and time is short - LOL!  I got this new My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Doody paper pad and fell in love with this floral print.  I decided to use a sentiment from Window Play - Outside - I just love this font - and paired it with some ribbon, pearls, and prima roses.

Here's this month's sketch.  Remember to link up over on Jen's blog.

And YNS wants to offer you a perk for playing along!  Here's a coupon code for your next order!  Sweet!

Krafty Peeks - Captain Coach

Happy Saturday and welcome to both Day 4 of Krafty Peeks for the February release, as well as challenge day!  As always, during release week, we have a sketch challenge for you.  I used the new Captain Coach for my card.  Talk about awesome timing - my son's last basketball game is next weekend and this card will be perfect for his coach.

I flipped the sketch over on its side and used some new My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally papers.  I added a die cut star border and basketball for embellishment and kept the rest fairly simple.

You can find all the Krafty Girl and Guest creations over on the challenge blog - along with the sketch itself.  And don't forget to leave comments on the designer's blogs because two lucky people will each win some of Annie's new stamps. I'll see you back here tonight for the new release blog hop!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Tweets & Twitters

Welcome back to Day 3 of Kraftin' Kimmie peeks for the February release.  All the new stamps will be available on Sunday Feb. 19th.  For a complete list of all the Krafty Girls and Guests, hop over to the Krafty blog.  And make sure you leave comments as you visit because two lucky stampers will each win one of today's new sets!

Today we're showing you Emilie's new sets.  She's created two adorable bird sets called Tweets & Twitters.  I chose this cute seagull from Tweets & Twitters 1 and added a sentiment from the second set.  This guy totally reminded me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo (Mine, mine!).  I used some new MME papers and added a little twine loopy detail for fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'll see you back here tomorrow for our weekly challenge and a Moonlight Whispers peek!

Krafty Peeks - Lulu & Friends

Welcome to Krafty Peeks for the February Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release!  I'm so excited to show you this month's stamps - they are fabulous as always - but a ton of fun this month too!

Links to all of the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks are over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and be sure to leave comments as you visit, because one lucky person will win their very own Lulu set.

So I picked this adorable pyjama/teddy bear image to show you.  I think probably because it's pj day/pancake day at my kids school next week and so this one jumped out at me.  But there are three super cute images and quite a few adorable sentiments to go with this new set from Cheryl Alger.  I kept my card simple, adding just some stitching and not wanting to cover too much of this gorgeous paper from one of the new pads by My Mind's Eye.

Cute, no?  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll see you back here tomorrow for more peeks!

Pearls, Pins, and Lulu!

Welcome back for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  This week our hostess is the fabulous Sandie and she wants to see both pins and pearls on our cards!  Demanding, isn't she?  LOL!

I pulled out one of the Lulu images from the Lovely Lulu set.  I just love her cute teddy in the bath with her!  I used some blue pearls for the bubbles and added a pearl pin under my button.

I hope you'll come play along with us over on the challenge blog.  And pop over to check out the gorgeous creations from all the Krafty Girls and Guests.

Also, don't forget this week's Frugal Friday specials.  This week's awesome stamps are: Elysia Angel, Lots of Love 1 and Lots of Love 2, You are a Treat, Cheeky Monkey and Olivia Orange!!

And one other thing I wanted to tell you - come and join us on Wednesday night (the 15th) at 6pm EST to hang out with us and watch the creation of a new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, from idea to sketch to inked image LIVE with amazing artist Annie Rodrigue!!

MFT February New Product Tour - Mr. Fix It!

Welcome to the MFT February New Product Tour!  All of the fabulous new stamps and Die-namics are now available in the MFT Store - right HERE.  This is one more chance for you to see all the stamps and dies in action to help you with your shopping!

I have a card for you featuring Fix-It Fred.  I just love this bear - and he's especially close to my heart this month as we're starting a big kitchen renovation next week.  So my mind is all wrapped up in everything construction and I loved making this card.  I decided to make him a pegboard for his tools and so I used some MFT cork and the First Class Friend Die-namics.  I cut the Die-namics Tool Charms out of a couple different cardstocks and layered them to create handles.  I gave each of them a coat of Sakura clear glaze pen to mimic metal.

Underneath the pegboard I stamped a sentiment from the set on one of the Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome.

Here's a close up of his pegboard and tools.

And it seems like I can't colour Fred without using some copic blending solution and a rag to give him a furry look.

I used another Tool Charm for the inside of the card, the new Monarch Border as well as a sentiment from the set.  I think I'll stash this card away to give to my contractor once we're done.

Well thanks for stopping by.  Remember that links to all the designers sharing projects can be found on the MFT blog.  And don't forget to leave comments as you visit because one designer has a gift voucher to give away - but we're not telling you who.

I made a card for you today using the new Ring Me Die-namics and Stamp Set.  I LOVE this set!  I have a phone just like this still hooked up in my basement.  In the days before everyone had cell phones, we always liked to have a non-electric phone in case the power went out.  And I've just never got around to unhooking it.  LOL!

I cut my phone from black cardstock and then coated it with Versamark Ink and clear embossing powder.  I gave it 2 or 3 coats to make it nice and glossy.  I layered my phone on the new Vertical Greetings Die-namics and added a Botanical Beauty flower.  I used the small circle and sentiment from the Ring Me set for the middle of my flower.

Here's a close up of the phone - you can really see how shiny and glossy it is.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'll see you back here tonight at 10pm for the New Product Tour.

MFT Teasers - Purrfect!

Happy Monday!  We're continuing on with MFT Teasers for the February release and today is Pure Innocence day!

I chose this cutie cuddling a kitty for my card.  I stamped her on X-Press It blending cardstock and coloured her with my copics.  True confession time - this is actually my second attempt at colouring this girl.  The first one went bad - pinks that just wouldn't blend.  It's o.k. to scrap something that's just not working - after all, it's just paper, right?  I coloured her up to match my October Afternoon Sidewalks paper.  I layered her onto the new Oval Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics and the new Vertical Greetings Die-namics.  This is the second time I've layered these two particular dies - I love the way they look together.

Inside I used the smaller size of the Oval Dainty Doily Duo for the sentiment and I also added the inside portion from one of the new Pet Charms Die-namics.

MFT Teasers - Girl Talk à la mode

Welcome back to Day 5 of MFT Teasers for the February release!  We're getting so close!  I hope you're liking what you've seen so far.  Today we have two new fabulous à la modes to show you.

I chose to make a card with Girl Talk.  I must confess that I look like this most days.  My phone and I are nearly inseparable so it seemed natural to make this card.  I used this week's MFT sketch for my layout and picked some October Afternoon Farmhouse papers to play with.  I stamped my à la mode on X-Press It blending cardstock cut with the new Vertical Greeting Die-namics.  I spelled out LOL using the By The Letters Die-namics cut out of a denim knee patch.  I also used the new Botanical Beauty Die-namics for embellishment.

Here's a better view of her phone, which I covered in Sakura clear glaze pen.

February Sketch For You To Try

It's a new month and that means it's time for a new Sketch For You To Try!  Jen's created another fabulous sketch for you and this month we're sponsored by Your Next Stamp.

I chose to play with a set called Window Play - Outside.  I think maybe I'm longing for a bit of spring and some brightly coloured flowers.  I decided to rotate the sketch to fit my image a bit better.  I stamped the flowers, then masked them and stamped the window box and finally the window itself.  Easy peasy!  I then decided to cut the image out and use it in place of the circular panel on the sketch.  I pulled out my Woodgrain Fence die for the horizontal element in the sketch.

I coated the window with some Glossy Accents to give it that glass pane look and I used a Sakura black glaze pen for the centres of the flowers.

Here is this month's sketch.  You can enter your card and find all the details on Jen's blog.  Don't forget you have all month to play along!

Don't forget to hop over and check out the creations of all my amazing sketch sisters!

MFT Teasers - Vertical Greetings

Happy Saturday and welcome back to Day 4 of MFT Teasers for the February release!  Today I have a card to show you with the brand new Vertical Greetings.  I LOVE this set!  I love that the sentiments run vertically, the fonts are fabulous, and the actual sentiments themselves....Swoon!

I think this is my favorite sentiment out of all of them and I decided to make a card for a friend who's going through a tough time right now.  I kept it pretty simple - stamped in Versafine Onyx black ink and then heat set with clear embossing powder.  I cut a second Vertical Greetings shape and used the top and bottom portion to frame my sentiment panel.  I added a flower cut with some of the pieces in the new Botanical Beauty Die-namics and the MME Stella Rose papers that I used on the rest of the card.

Here's a close-up of the flower - equally pretty cut out of patterned papers and cardstock as it is out of felt. I only used four out of the six different dies in the set.
