Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Heavy Metal!

Happy Saturday!  I'm so happy for the weekend - this week has seemed really long!  It's also time for another Krafty challenge and this week Sharon wants to see our Heavy Metal!

I actually used the same image as Sharon - it's one of the stamps in the new Going Places Exclusive set which was released yesterday!  I paired her with some MME papers and added some brads and stitching.  The layout is from Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.

You can check out all of the challenge entries on the Krafty blog and if you play along you could even win this stamp!  And also - don't forget this week's Frugal Friday specials are up and available through the weekend only.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Go Green!

Welcome back to another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  This week our hostess Melanie challenged us to "Go Green" and use something recycled on our card.  Well I had just the thing!  Last summer at CHA, I was helping to set up a booth, and my friend Barbara made me take a piece of corrugated cardboard with me after set up!  She told me what a great element it made on a card - so naturally, it was the first thing I reached for when I heard recycled!

I've used Demeter for my card and paired her with some MME paper and of course - the famous corrugated cardboard!

Don't forget about this week's frugal Friday specials and come back Monday for a special announcement from KKS!  Remember that you can see all the wonderful challenge cards over on the Krafty blog - I hope you'll play along with us this week!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Krafty Hop - Peony!

Do YOU know what day it is? It’s Krafty RELEASE Day at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP! There are SO many incredible new SPRINGY stamps to see this month, so let’s get started!

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of AMAZING new stamps from all our artists! We’ve got something for everyone!

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our MARCH Krafty Hop! If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all’!! The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!!

For my card today, I coloured up Peony.  I just love her hair and the way she's looking at that cute little bee.  I used some of the new copic pinks for her dress and matched her up to some MME Miss Caroline papers.  I did some stitching and brads and added some sponging here and there as well.  The layout is a SFYTT sketch from last year.  I also added some mini rolled roses and leafs for embellishment.

I also used a sentiment from the Flower Sentiment set for the inside of my card - I love that it goes so well with this image!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Now you're on your way to see the madly talented Nicole!

March Sketch For You To Try - Happy Bird Day!

Top o' the morning to you and Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I have a bit of Irish in me but unfortunately, didn't manage to make this card green!

I wanted to pop by today and share another card I made for this month's SFYTT.  The Craft's Meow is our fabulous sponsor this month and I'm working with the Tweet of You set.  I paired my stamps with some October Afternoon Farmhouse papers and used a die cut flower in place of the circle element.  I also used a die cut bird on my birdcage for a bit of dimension.  I'm so loving this set!

Here's the sketch, in case you haven't seen it yet!  And remember that all the details and the entry widget can be found over on Jen's blog.  There's still lots of time to play along!  Hope you'll join us!

Krafty Peeks - Poppy!

Happy weekend everyone!  We're getting closer and closer to release day - at midnight tonight all the new stamps will be available from the Kraftin' Kimmie store!  Today we're showing you Annie's newest stamps and this month they're all flower girls!  They are gorgeous!  I couldn't pick a favorite among them because I love them all.

For today's peek and challenge I chose to use the soon to be released Poppy.  Now I know....poppies are red and my image is purple.  But my red copics and I are having a bit of a difference in opinion and I put them in time-out for this card (lol!).  So instead I broke out some of the newest purple copics and paired them up with the rest of their series - I'm talking V20, V22, V25, and V28.  Our challenge this week is a sketch - and it's a goodie!

I used some Lily Bee papers and added some felt flowers and buttons tied with twine.  I also added a sentiment from the new Flower Sentiments set.  All of the verses co-ordinate with the new Flower girl stamps.

I hope you'll play along with us!  The sketch is over on the challenge blog along with samples from all the Krafty Girls and Guests.  And don't forget to leave comments as you visit because 2 lucky people will each win some of the new Flower Girls!  I'll see you back here tonight for the new release blog hop!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - What's Up Gnomie?

Hello and Happy Friday!  TGIF!  It's been a great week, but we've been on March break and I can say (with a little guilt) that I'm ready for my kids to go back to school next week!  LOL!  Just keeping it real!

Today we have peeks for you of two new sets illustrated by Emilie Goulet for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  This month is all about gnomes!  Which seems really appropriate right now with the gorgeous spring-like weather.  I know I've already started thinking about my gardens (not that they're anything special!).

I chose to work with this cute gnome from the "What's Up Gnomie" set and used one of the co-ordinating sentiments.  I stamped him on a tag and used a layout from an older Mojo Monday sketch.  I think these gnomes are super cute - I'd love to have them in my garden!

Remember to check the Krafty Blog for links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks today!  And don't forget to leave comments along the way as 2 lucky people will each win a new gnome set!  Who doesn't like free?

Enjoy your day and I'll see you back here tomorrow with another peek and a new Krafty challenge - remember release week is always paired with a sketch challenge!  Ciao!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Lulu!

Hey all!  Welcome to the first day of Krafty peeks for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March release.  I cannot believe we are half way through March - how did that happen?  We have lots of fabulous stamps to show you this month and today we're previewing the newest Lulu set illustrated by Cheryl Alger.  You can find links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks today over on the challenge blog.  And don't forget to leave comments as you go because one lucky person will win this new Lulu set just for telling us what you think!

I coloured up this sweet swinging image for you and kept it simple since the paper I wanted to use (My Mind's Eye) already had a sentiment and embellishment build right in.  I added some stitching, brads and some rolled flowers made out of coordinating patterned papers.

Well, that's all I've got for you today!  I hope you'll come back tomorrow for another peek!  Same time, same place!  Thanks so much!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - CASE away!

Hey friends!  It's so nice to sit and "chat" with you for a bit.  It's been pretty quiet here on my blog as we're in the midst of our kitchen reno and that's been keeping me pretty busy. Hopefully we'll be wrapped up in the next week and I'll have some pretty pictures to show you!

I did find some time to play along with this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  Amanda has challenged us to CASE another Krafty Girl's card!  CASE has a couple of different meanings - I've heard Copy And Selectively Edit and Copy And Steal Everything most commonly used.

I found the sweetest card by the amazingly talented Alice Wertz and decided to keep the layout but change up the image and papers.  I coloured up this sweet baker image from the new Lulu and Friends set and paired her with some October Afternoon Sidewalks papers.

Here's Alice's card from a couple of challenges ago:

So what do you think?  Are you game to play along?  Simply pick any card from any one of the Krafty Girls and go to it!  That's it!  There's no rules or guidelines - interpret the challenge how you see fit!  Make sure you pop over to the challenge blog to see the cards from all the Krafty Girls and to enter your card.

Our Frugal Friday Specials for this weekend are UP! We have SIX of our awesome stamps on special this weekend only at 40-50% OFF!

Alrighty friends - I'm off!  I'm actually spending today with Kraftin' Kimmie and a couple of other Krafty girls getting our kraft on - lucky me!  I'll see you back here soon!

March Sketch For You To Try

It's the first Saturday of the month and that means it's time for a new sketch for Sketch For You To Try!  We have another fabulous sponsor this month - The Craft's Meow stamps.  I must admit that this was my first exposure to this company, but it certainly won't be my last!  They have fabulous stamps and my wish list is growing by leaps and bounds!

I chose to work with this newly released set - Tweet of You and fell in love with all the different images and sentiments.  I stamped this birdcage (there are three to choose from) in Versafine ink and embossed with clear powder to make in shiny.  I coloured and cut out this cute bird and mounted him on top of the image.  I paired the image with some paper from My Mind's Eye and added a mini doily from Kaisercraft (thanks Karen G!).

Here's this month's sketch.  Remember you have all month to play along and enter your card over on Jen's blog.

Don't forget to swing by and check out the beautiful creations by the rest of my sketch sisters!
