Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Get Sentimental!

Happy Saturday and welcome back for another Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge!  This week our hostess with the mostess - Sharon - has challenged us to "get sentimental".  Our cards/projects must include a sentiment.  Easy peasy, right?

I had this cute little fairy from Flirty Fairies #2 and paired her up with some MME Sweet Caroline papers.  Instead of using a phrase sentiment, I decided to use another of these awesome Everyday Trinkets!  Our very own Krafty girl Nicole designed this set and I think it's fabulous and will definitely get tons of use on my cards!  I mounted my trinket onto a die cut flower and added some stitching and brads for embellishment.

Don't forget to hop over to the challenge blog to see all the beautiful creations from the Krafty Girls and Guests.  And you could win free stamps just for playing along!
As usual, the Frugal Friday specials are up too. There are 6 fabulous stamps on sale for 30-50% off but only for the weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!

May Krafty Hop - Happily Ever After

Do YOU know what day it is?  It’s Krafty RELEASE Day at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps!  And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!  There are SO many incredible new stamps to SEE this month, so let’s get started.

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of ADORABLE new stamps from all our artists.  We’ve got something for everyone.  Lulu is back from Cheryl Alger.....we know how much you love her.  So we have a new set called LULU ON THE MOVE!  We also have TWO fantastic sets of whimsical FAIRIES from Emilie Goulet called FLIRTY FAIRIES 1 AND FLIRTY FAIRIES 2.  And of course we have an amazing new set of six EVERYDAY GIRL stamps from Annie Rodrigue, featuring stamps for the teacher, nurse, wedding/anniversary, graduation, I love you cards and get well cards.  OH and don’t forget the BRAND NEW line of stamps called EVERYDAY TRINKETS by the lovely Nicole Aspinall!

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our MAY Krafty Hop.  If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog.  As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release.  And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who ‘need it all'.  The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time!

For my card today, I used Happily Ever After.  I think this stamp is perfect for weddings, engagements, or really any type of formal event.  I paired it up with some MME papers and some pearls and rolled roses - just to repeat some of the elements in the stamped image.  I kept my layout pretty simple so as to keep the focus on the image panel.

Well that's all I've got for you today.  Now you're headed over to the amazingly talented Cheryl.  Have fun hopping!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Under the Weather?

Welcome back to Day 4 of Kraftin' Kimmie peeks for the May release.  Today we're not only showing you the new Moonlight Whispers stamps, we're also using a sketch as this week's challenge.

I've used this new image Under The Weather and paired it with some Echo Park This & That papers.  I just love that this stamp could either be a male or female and I also love the expression on his/her face.

You'll definitely want to head over to the challenge blog to see all the new stamps, as well as the amazing creations from all the Krafty Girls and Guests.  You'll also find the sketch there and I hope you'll play along with us.  Don't forget to leave comments along the way as 2 lucky people will each win packs of Annie's new stamps.

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Hoopy Birthday!

Happy Thursday all!  Are you ready for this month's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Lulu peek?  Well you're in for a treat because this month she's "On The Move"!

I chose this cute Hula Hoop image for my card and coloured her up with my copics.  I matched her to my Doodlebug Sugar & Spice 6x6 pad and used three of the patterned papers.  I layered her up and added a felt flower with a sentiment flag.

You can find links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks today over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog.  And don't forget to leave comments along the way because one lucky stamper will win their very own Lulu set.

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Trinkets!

We are kicking off the *new* May Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps release today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a whole new line of stamps!  We are very excited to share with you our….TRINKETS!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!  They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8 and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting.  This month we are releasing the Everyday Trinkets set which covers Birthday, Thank You, Friendship and Just Because.  There are EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones.

You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.  And keep your eyes peeled for more themes because we’ve got lots more Trinkets on the way.

I wanted to pair the trinkets with an image, so I pulled out Dorothy who was released last month, but I hadn't had a chance to get her inky.  I coloured her with my copics and pulled some various patterned papers to match.  I added some die cut clouds and flowers as well.  Now I don't have a 1 3/8" punch in my stash, but I was able to use the second smallest size of circle in the Large Circle Nestabilities set - and I think it's a perfect fit!  I then used the next size up in the Small Circle Nesties for my matting layer.

You can find links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog.  And make sure you leave comments as you hop along because one lucky stamper will win their very own set of trinkets!

I'll see you back here tomorrow for more Kraftin' Kimmie peeks - it's Lulu day!

May SFYTT - Take Two!

Hello there!  This is my second post for today so if you're looking for my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps post you'll want to scroll down.

I'm back with my second card for May's Sketch For You To Try.  I kept my card super simple and used a sentiment stamp from MFT on some patterned paper.  The patterned paper is Simple Stories Fabulous and the panel that I stamped my sentiment on came in the 6x6 pad.  It happened to be the perfect size for my stamp!  I also used some corrugated cardboard strips for the horizontal elements in the sketch.

Make sure you check out Jen's blog and also hop over to see what my sketch sisters have created for you.

Also, big thanks to our sponsor this month: Skipping Stones Design.

KKS Challenge - How Many Layers?

Happy Saturday friends!  It's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge and this week our hostess Alice made me really think!!  Alice challenged us to create a 1 layer card.  That's right - one layer!  CRAZY!!  Although I love the look of these cards - they're definitely not something I try on a regular basis.  But I was up for the challenge!

I decided to use the Cowardly Lion stamp and wanted to jazz up my cardfront just a little.  So I dug out my embossing mat and used it to emboss my Nestability circle into my cardstock.  I also sponged some ink around both the insides and the outsides of the embossed circle.  And that's it!  That's all I've got to tell you about my card.  Crazy simple!

Don't forget that you can see what the Krafty Girls and Guests have created for you over on the challenge blog.  And you can link up your entry there for a chance to win free stamps!

Also, don't forget this week's Frugal Friday specials!  They're available until the end of the weekend and there's deals to be had!

May Sketch For You To Try and a KKS challenge

Good morning friends!  Happy Saturday to you!  I have a card to share with you that I created both for the May SFYTT and this week's Kraftin' Kimmie stamps challenge.  This month at SFYTT we're sponsored by Skipping Stones Designs stamps.

I used one of the newest Lulu's on my card for today from the Playtime Lulu set.  The KKS challenge is to create a Mothers Day card and what could be more perfect that a little girl dressing up in her Mom's clothes?  I paired her with some Crate papers and white cardstock and flower trim.

Here is this month's sketch.  You can find all the details over on Jen's blog as well as the widget to link up your entry!  And if you want to play along with our Kraftin' Kimmie challenge, you can link up over on the challenge blog.  As well, you can find cards from the fabulous Krafty Girls and Guests.

And don't forget to hop over and see what my sketch sisters have created for you!  We're also welcoming our newest sister - Tracy Shultz!
