Ribbon Carousel Blog Hop

Oh BOY!  Hang on to your hats!  We have a TREAT for you today!

The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are teaming up with the designers from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to bring you a blog hop that is sure to knock your socks off!

I must admit that I sighed a happy sigh when I got my ribbon package.  Such pretty ribbons and such pretty packaging!  Now although it might be unexpected, I chose to pair my ribbons with a boy image.  Shocking, I know!!  I used an older Deconstructed sketch and some Doodlebug papers that happened to match my ribbon almost exactly!  I layered 3 of the yummy ribbons together along the top of my lined paper panel and I love the way it turned out!  This image is from Smells Like Teen Spirit set and pretty much looks like my son.

Lets talk prizes!

Hop along and leave some blog love for our designers for a chance to win one of two great prizes!  The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to the store and Kraftin' Kimmie will be giving away a winner's choice of 1 stamp set or 3 individual stamps!  The winner of the carousel on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and the winner of the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps will be announced right on the Ribbon Carousel blog!

Ready to hop?

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Get Stitchy!

Hello Krafty Peeps!  Happy Saturday!  And that means it's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge!  I'm your hostess this week and I challenge you to get stitchy!  Use either real or faux stitching on your creation.  I am rather fond of my sewing machine, so I did lots of stitching on my card - there are 3 panels that I stitched around.  I used one of the new Birthday Trinkets instead of an image and paired it with some Doodlebug papers and this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

By an amazing coincidence, Kraftin' Kimmie is also sponsoring the Crazy 4 Challenges blog this week and their challenge is also stitching!  Crazy, right?!

Make sure you visit the Krafty blog to see all the amazing creations by my fellow Krafty Girls.  And while you're there - give a shout out to our 4 new Krafty girls!  We're thrilled that Kim, Sheri, Jessie, and Alyce are joining our Krazy team!

Also check out the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to see their fabulous cards as well!  Remember that you could win just for playing along and linking up over on the Krafty blog.  Someone will win a selection of trinkets!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm back again today with my second Sketch For You To Try card for July.  You might remember that we're sponsored this month by My Favorite Things Stamps - who are one of my favorite companies!  I pulled out this new to me a la mode stamp - It's Getting Deep.  I also used the Fishtail Flags Stax and one part of the Chevron Stripes die.  The papers are Echo Park Take Note that I paired with some Hot Fudge cardstock.

Don't forget to hop over and see what my sketch sisters have cooked up for you as well.  And you can visit Jen's blog to link up your card for your chance to win big at the end of the year!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Old Hollywood!

Hey everyone!  Welcome back to Day 4 of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps peeks for the July release.  Today we're showing you the new Moonlight Whispers stamps as well as playing along in our weekly challenge.  The fabulous Cheryl is our hostess this week and she wants us to go dotty!  Polka dotty that is!

Although most of the new stamps are old Hollywood women - there's one guy in the midst too!  I love this image of Gene Kelly from Singing In The Rain and I coloured him up with my copics, staying pretty true to the movie.  I paired my image with some MME Stella Rose papers (there's my polka dots!) as well as some twine and crystal embellishments.

Remember that you can find links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests over on the challenge blog.  If you leave comments as you visit the blogs, you'll be entered to win a pack with some of Annie's new images!  There will be two lucky winners today!  As well, if you play along with our challenge, you could win one of the stamps Cheryl has used on her gorgeous card (your pick!).

All of the new stamps will be released tonight at midnight and will be up in the Kraftin' Kimmie store for purchase.  I'll see you back here tonight for the new release hop, k?

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Birthday Buddies!

Welcome back to Day 3 of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps peeks for the July release.  All of the new stamps will be available for purchase on Sunday July 15th.

Today we have a fabulous new set to show you illustrated by Emilie Goulet called Birthday Buddies.  The images are all adorable but I've chosen to use this cutie eating her way through an entire birthday cake!

I coloured her up with my copics and paired my image with some Basic Grey Shine On papers.  I coated her balloons with Glossy Accents to make them nice and shiny and added a sentiment banner and stars.  The layout is from Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch.

Don't forget to check the challenge blog for links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks today.  And you'll definitely want to leave comments as you visit, because two lucky people will win their very own new Birthday Buddies set!

Thanks for stopping by - I'll see you back here tomorrow for an Annie peek and our weekly challenge!

Welcome back to Day 2 of peeks for the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps July release.  Today brings a new Lulu set by Cheryl Alger and this month we're all about birthdays!!  I've used this sweet image of Lulu holding some gifts and paired her with some Cosmo Cricket papers and one of the new Birthday Trinkets.  I started out using this week's Mojo Monday sketch but deviated along the way.

Don't forget to check the challenge blog for links to all the Krafty Girls and Guest sharing peeks today.  And you'll definitely want to leave comments as you visit, because one lucky person will win their very own new Lulu set!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Birthday Trinkets

Well hello!!  I can't believe it's already time for Kraftin' Kimmie peeks for the July release!  Where has the start of the summer gone?  You can see peeks everyday until Sunday July 15th - when all the new stamps will be available in the Kraftin' Kimmie shop.  Links to all the Krafty Girls and Guests sharing peeks will be up on the Krafty blog everyday.  And don't forget to leave comments as you visit because some lucky stampers will win free stamps!

Today we have a new trinkets set to show you called Birthday Trinkets, designed by our very own Nicole Aspinall.  For my card I've used one of the bigger sized circles and punched it with my 1&3/4" circle punch.  I paired my trinket with some Echo Park Summer Days papers and some stitched ribbon.  I kept it clean and simple and used an older layout from the Freshly Made sketches blog.

There are 8 trinkets in total in the set - which gives you lots of variety!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I'll see you back here tomorrow for a Lulu peek!

July Sketch For You To Try a la MFT

Happy first Saturday of the month to you!  And of course that means it's also time for July's Sketch For You To Try.  This month we are sponsored by one of my very favorite companies - MFT Stamps (My Favorite Things).  MFT was my first stamping love as well as my first major design team so they'll always have a big spot in my heart.

I must admit that this month's sketch gave me pause.  Not too much, but a little.  I decided to go with a sentiment stamps rather than an image - this is from the new Complimentary Greetings set and I used a whole schwack of Die-namics dies.  Behind the sentiment circle I used the smallest circle from the Open Scallop Doily Duo.  For my horizontal panel I used the Fishtail Flag Stax and for the vertical panel I used some creative license and substituted the Large Leafy Flourish.  I added some Mini Rolled Roses for embellishment as well as some stitching and sewing.  The papers are all from Echo Park This & That 6x6 pad and the cardstock is MFT Hot Fudge.

Here's this month's sketch!

You'll definitely want to hop over and see what the rest of my sketch sisters have cooked up for you - they're amazing!
