Kraftin' Kimmie Gratitude Challenge

Welcome back for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  This week I'm your hostess and I'd like to challenge you to make a Thank You/Gratitude card in honor of American Thanksgiving.  If you play along with a KKS stamp,  you could be the random winner of this image from the new Snips & Snails set - illustrated by Cheryl Alger.

I stamped this cutie on X-Press It blending cardstock and coloured him with my copics.  I did use some Prismacolor pencils and gamsol for the ground though.  The papers are all from the new Basic Grey Picadilly pad and for the layout I used November's Sketch For You To Try again.

I hope you'll play along with us over on the Krafty Blog.  The Krafty Girls and Guests have some amazing eye candy for you over there!  And don't forget that Kraftin' Kimmie is having a huge Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale.  Virtually EVERYTHING is on SALE 25-75% OFF at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!! That's right!!! This is the BIGGEST sale we've ever had and aren't likely to repeat it anytime soon!! So take advantage while you can!! We are talkin' serious savings here!!
Thanks for stopping by.  I'm so grateful for you!

Holiday Hugs Sketch For You To Try

Happy Black Friday to my American friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to pop by and share another card I made using November's Sketch For You To Try!  There's still time to play along and all the details can be found right HERE on Jen's blog.  I used this new Holiday Hugs stamp from MFT and paired him with some Echo Park Holly Jolly papers.  I also used the Icicle Border die and the Let It Snowflake die and cut some white glitter paper.  I topped it off with some twine and a button.

I decided to finish the inside off as well since that snowman is so dang cute!  I stamped him in Memento London Fog ink and then used one of the sentiments in the set over top.

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you back here tomorrow for the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  I may have used November's sketch again for tomorrow's card as well (wink).

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #47

Happy Wednesday all (I'm sorely tempted to write y'all, but I think there's some rule somewhere about Canadians using that word! LOL)!  It's time for another MFT sketch challenge and I must admit that this one challenged me a bit.  I think mainly because I was set on using this Pure Innocence Precious Little Lamb Upon A Star stamp.  And I didn't want to cut it out.  So I may or may not have omitted at least one of the horizontal strips on the tag.  But it's all good right?!  There's room for interpretation in there!

I cut the Tag You're It die out with some Fossil cardstock and coloured my little lamb with a combination of copics and Prismacolour Pencils.  Behind my tag I used the Die-namics Star border cut from some silver glitter paper and added some stitching and brads.  The papers are some older MME Christmas ones.

I finished the inside off with more of the Star Border and a fabulous Christmas sentiment that comes with this set.

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread). You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

MFT Pure Innocence Winter Cuties VIP Collection

It's that time of month again over at MFT - time for the VIP Collection release.  We have a twist for you this month because usually the VIP kit contains the new Who's That Girl set.  Well this month, just to shake it up a bit, it contains two of the new Pure Innocence sets!!  How cool is that?

I made a card to show you the new Ice Princess set.  I paired her with the new Oval Open Scallop doily die that also comes in the kit - doesn't she fit perfectly?!  The papers are all My Mind's Eye and I added the Icicle Border die, the Snowflake Trio die, and the banner from First Place Award Ribbon die to embellish.  This layout is also this week's sketch challenge over in the MFT forum.

You can find the Winter Cuties VIP Collection right HERE in the MFT store.  And don't forget to check out Kim's blog as she has links to all the designers sharing projects with you.  I know this kit will sell out quickly - so what are you waiting for?  Go grab one now!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Make It Masculine

Happy Saturday everyone!  And of course Saturday means it's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge and Angie has challenged us to make a masculine card.  I decided to colour up Toymaker Elf and pair him with some Echo Park Seasons Greetings papers.  I kept it simple with just a circle die behind my image panel.  I didn't want to girly it up with ribbons and the like!

Make sure you head over to the Krafty blog to see what the Krafty Girls and Guests have created for you and don't forget about the Frugal Friday specials too!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #45

Well hello there!  Today I have a card to show you for the MFT stamp club sketch challenge.  I (along with many of my fellow team members) used the new Pure Innocence Christmas Caroler and paired her with some Echo Park Seasons Greetings papers.  I took some liberties with the scallop section at the bottom and used the Woodgrain Fence die as well as the Wonky Scallop Border die.  I was hoping it would suggest snow piled up against the fence.  I still had my twine and lace trim out from doing the Creative challenge the other day so I used that for the top horizontal element and to embellish the top of my tag cut with the Tag You're It die (which can now be purchased on its own as well!).  A snowflake from the Snowflake Trio die finished it all off.  I must admit that I thought this sketch would be easy - until I started making my card - my desk now looks like a hurricane hit it!

MFT Creative Challenge - Vintage

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're exploring the lush vintage style. Please visit the MFT Blog to see exactly what we've been up to, you'll find a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

Oh man!  Vintage - really?  I almost didn't take up this challenge.  I don't have the easiest time with that style.  But since the gauntlet was thrown down, I had to!  I pulled out an old favorite - the Dienamics Just My Type die and stamp set.  I love the look of this set and it is super easy to line up the stamp with the die.  I did lots of distressing and stitching and added a Faux Crochet border layered with some lace trim and some twine.  I also added a Rolled Flower on top of my twine bow and stuck a Maya Road Trinket pin behind it all.  I'm not quite sure that this is vintage, maybe it's more shabby chic - but it's my go at it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

November Sketch For You To Try

Welcome to the November edition of Sketch For You To Try.  I can't believe we're almost through the year - crazy!!  This month we have another fabulous sketch and we're being sponsored by Verve Stamps.  I must admit that these are the first Verve stamps I've ever used (I know - insert collective gasp here!).  I chose to work with the Better With You set which is full of awesome images and sentiments (and is on sale right now too - Bonus!).  I actually used 4 different stamps on my image panel and paired them with some Jillibean Soup papers.  I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink as well as Memento Desert Sand for the coffee rings.  I inked the word "world" with an olive green marker to help it stand out a little.  I pieced the coffee sleeve with some Kraft paper that I ran through my crimper and I also crimped the Kraft panel along the bottom as well.

A big thanks to Verve for being this month's sponsor!  Quite a few of the Verve design team girls are playing along with us too.  All the info and links to samples are on Jen's blog - so definitely stop over there!  Also a big welcome to this month's guest designer - Broni Holcombe!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Pin It Down!

Welcome to this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge!  This week our hostess is the the super talented (and oh so sweet) Michele.  She's asked us to "Pin It Down" by using some sort of pin on our project.  I decided to take Sarah Shopper out for a spin.  I paired her with some Authentique papers and even pieced some of her shopping bags.  I used some seam binding that I dyed and stuck a Maya Road stick pin through my bow.  I love the sentiment that comes with Sarah - I definitely like to do my part for the economy too!

Make sure you check out the challenge blog to see all the gorgeous cards from the Krafty Girls and Guests.  If you play along with a KKS stamp, you'll be entered to win a free stamp too.  And also don't forget to check out this week's Frugal Friday specials too - there's lots of deals to be had!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MFT New Product Tour - Snowboard Boy

Welcome to the MFT New Product Tour for the November release.  This is one last chance to see every stamp set and die and another chance to win some free MFT money to spend in the store!  Links to all of the designers can be found on Kim's blog, and remember to leave comments along the way because one of the designers has blog candy to give away in the form of a gift voucher.

I made a tent card (tutorial in the resources section of SCS) to show you with the new Pure Innocence Snowboard Boy.  I used some Doodlebug papers and some glitter cardstock.  I layered some Wonky Scallop Borders to act as snow and embellished with some snowflakes cut from the Snowflake Trio die.

Here you can see the side view and why it's called a tent card.  It folds up flat to fit into an envelope which is cool.

All the new products are available in the MFT store right HERE so go forth and shop!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Pep Rally - Vintage Cameo

Welcome back for the Pre-Release Pep Rally!  Today is your chance to get one last look at all the fabulous dies and stamps that are being released tonight at 10pm EST over in the MFT store.

I chose to make a card for you with the new Vintage Cameo Frame Die-namics and Stamp set.  I stamped one of the female silhouettes on a piece of patterned paper (Echo Park Victoria Garden) and framed it with the matching die.  I also used one of the frame stamps in the set on the die cut frame.  I mounted it on the new Clearly Sentimental Label die and added some stitching and pearls.
