Crazy Days of Summer!
It's been crazy over the last couple weeks. My best friend was visiting from Calgary and now my mom is here - it's so nice to spend time with them. But that's also meant little stamping time. I did manage to squeeze in time to stamp this for another dear friend who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. Hope you're having a great week and enjoying your summer so far!

More dirt....
Loving these Dare to Get Dirty challenges over at Splitcoast! I've been super busy this week as my best friend is visiting from Calgary and we've been having lots of quality girl time! I managed to sneak in a bit of stamping time though.
This card is based on an inspiration piece posted by Jenn. I had the perfect Imaginesce paper in my stash!
This one was to combine two challenges. Lauren's challenge and Julia's challenge.
Today I'm having a 60th birthday party for my mom who's visiting from Calgary. Should be fun but also lots of work! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Still Getting Dirty!
With the Dirty Girl challenges at Splitcoast I mean! The first card was for Julie HRR's white space challenge. Boy was this a challenge for me! This card looks simple but took me forever! Dandelion stamp is from Hero Arts, the "wish" sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I overstamped the dandelion in platinum ink and added some ribbon and some sparkle stickers.
The second card actually combines two challenges. I watercoloured the Inkadinkado Lighthouse using a combination of inkpads and waterbrush along with a couple of Tombow markers. This one feels kind of naked, but I couldn't figure out how to add any more embellishment without forcing it!
I'm off to my SU demo's catalogue retirement party and then off to the airport to pick up my best friend in the whole world for a week's visit. Ciao!

Who can ignore a Double Dog Dare?
It's Dare to Get Dirty time at Splitcoast. This means that fan club members can play along with challenges posted by the Dirty Dozen. Super fun!
This first card was for Laurie's vellum challenge. The butterfly was embossed on vellum and the strip behind the image panel is vellum that was embossed with the cuttlebug. I love the Baroque Motifs stamp set and think this card is really pretty.
The second card was for Jody's ribbon challenge. I used Kraft cardstock and stamps from Papertrey - Beautiful Blooms and Green Thumb. I distressed the edges and added some felt flowers from the SU flower fusion tin. This card fell a little short in execution than what I was picturing in my head - but oh well!
I hope to play along with some more challenges this week! Check it out if you have time!

Bella Withdrawal
I made these cards last week when I was going through a fit of bella withdrawal and I was itching to colour something. I also really wanted to use some of the American Crafts paper I had received through a blog candy win (the patterned paper on the top portion of the card). I paired it with some paper from a Costco stack (pink polka dots) and some Chocolate chip and Pumpkin pie cardstock. Added some ribbon and white brads and Voila! I was going to make the cards exactly the same, but I left an inky fingerprint on one of the images and had to cut it down to remove it. So they're slightly different. I thought this Stampin Up sentiment went perfectly with this Bella stamp. Hope you have a great Friday! I haven't stamped all week but am hoping to get some done today!

7th Anniversary for a friend!
Yeesh - this was supposed to post while I was away - but apparently never did. And then I had computer problems. But I'm finally online again!
I made this card with a Stampin' Up hostess set. I actually cased the idea from cookiestamper on SCS - cause I thought it was brilliant! Super simple - just embossing with the cuttlebug, some score lines I made with my paper trimmer and a bone folder (I so want a scor-pal!), and an image coloured with copics. The paper is cryogen white - which means it's all shimmery and sparkly and oh so pretty!
We had a great time in Portland! The weather was fabulous and it was nice to get away for a little while.
Happy Hump day - hope you're having a great week!

A Kid Free Long Weekend!
Hubby and I are off tomorrow morning for a weekend away in Portland, OR! My inlaws are here to watch the kids while we're away - I am so ready for a break!
I made this card a while ago to send to my nephew for being a super new big brother to his new sister (and my new neice) Morgan. I just love this set from Pink Cat studios.
This is short and sweet because I have to go pack for our early morning flight! I have posts scheduled for the weekend - and I hope to do some shopping in Portland. Although - I have to save my pennies - have you seen the sneak peeks over at Papertrey Ink!! Yowzers!
Have a wonderful Friday peeps!

Woo Hoo 200 posts!
This marks my 200th post! Who knew that I would actually be able to keep up with blogging? Thanks to all 2 of you who read my blog - I appreciate both of you!
This was my final entry to the My Favorite Things ambassador challenge. The challenge was to use stars on your project. I have no star stamps and no star punches, so I went diving into my patterned paper. I had just recently bought this Nana's Kids stack by DCWV and it had perfect paper. I needed to make another of those bill holders - my friend has two kids both with birthdays in July, so I had more Disney dollars to give. I kept with the pink dino theme and cranked out this one. I won a free stamp set via a random prize draw for this one - sweet!!
Hope you're having a good week!

Pink Dino
Who ever heard of a pink dinosaur? I wanted to make a card for MFT's ambassador challenge over at Splitcoast and I needed a birthday card for a party my ds is attending on Sunday - so the dinosaur became pink! The challenge was to use paper piercing. I pierced each scallop of the card (cut with my nestabilities) and pierced a design in the upper corners. The grass and purple flowers are Doodlebug paper frills. I also replaced the spots on the dino with rhinestones - she's all blinged out!!
Happy 4th of July to my American friends! Have a wonderful long weekend!

Time flies!!
Wow - where did this week go? We had a wonderful Canada day on July 1st. Had some friends over for lunch and went to see fireworks with friends in the evening. Happy July 4th to all my American friends!!
I did get some stamping done - I've actually been quite productive. I thought today I'd show you my entry for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer contest for this month. I had fun making this one even if it was a little time consuming. This month marks MFT's second birthday and also the owner, Kim's birthday so our challenge was to make a birthday card. This card represents all the things I'd love to do on my birthday (except there was no stamp for sleeping in and going to the bathroom by myself!). Cardstock is Papertrey's Berry Sorbet (love that colour!!) and the patterned paper is from DCWV's Nana Nursery for Girls. All the images are from various MFT sets - I think there's 5 sets represented.
Thanks so much for all the well wishes for my dd. We had her stitches out and she's back to her old self with just a small mark to show for it. I'll be back tomorrow - promise!!
