Hey all!! How's it hopping (groan - I know!)? If you've just stumbled upon this post, you'll want to go back to the beginning of this fabulous hop - over at Kim's blog. If you've arrived here from my fabulous friend Julie's blog then you're on the right track. Aren't the new sets and dies fabulous? And how about our new design team members - aren't they rocking it? All the new sets and dies are now available for purchase right HERE.
For my project, I decided to try an idea that's been on my list for a while now - the Surprise Pop Up card. Do you keep a list of projects or techniques you'd like to try? Mine's getting fairly long and it felt good to cross one off the list. I found the instructions and an awesome video tutorial HERE over on Splitcoast. I used the new Pure Innocence Peek-a-Boo set.
I stamped her on some of that awesome X-Press It blending cardstock and paired her with some My Mind's Eye papers. I used the Die-namics Flower Border die along the front as well. So the idea with this card is that when you pull the tag at the top of the card, the panel slides up and reveals a surprise message. Here I selectively inked the sentiment so I could use only the Peek-a-Boo word. I used the Rounded Banner Trio for the top of the tag and added a Chocolate Kiss button and some ribbon. I sewed the pieces together so they'd be strong when they're pulled.
I finished the inside off with another sentiment from the set and the new Dainty Lace Border die.
Don't forget to leave comments along the hop as one of the designers has a gift voucher to give away. But we're not telling you who, so to increase your chances of winning comment on each blog. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Now you're on your way over to my friend Megan's blog. She is super talented and taught me how to make French Knots again (check out her video tutorial from a couple days ago!).
