Welcome to Day 1 of MFT Teasers for June. My card is near and dear to my heart as it's our friend Fred Bear in front of a grill. I think I've mentioned before that we part own a couple of barbecue stores so I was excited to get this stamp inky. I paired him with some October Afternoon papers (The Great Outdoors) and the new Simply Scallops Large die-namic as well as the Fresh Cut Grass die.
I also made up a tag with the same supplies. We constantly find ourselves with all kinds of sample bottles of rubs and sauces, so this will make them a bit prettier to give away! I also added some Stacking Stars to this tag along with the Simply Scallops die.
And as a special bonus today - I want to share a recipe for the best steak around!! This is the only way we make steak anymore so I hope you'll give it a try - your taste buds will thank you!
The Perfect Steak
4 steaks (preferably New York Strip), 1" thick
2 cloves garlic minced or pressed
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
freshly ground pepper
2 teaspoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
• Trim excess fat from the steaks. In a glass dish or heavy plastic bag combine the remaining ingredients.
• Marinate the steaks for 1 hour at room temperature or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator. If refrigerating, bring steaks close to room temperature 1/2 hour before grilling for more even cooking.
