MFT Teasers - Pure Innocence Stocking Girl

Happy Halloween and welcome back to Day 6 of MFT Teasers for the November release.  Today we're showing you the seven new Pure Innocence sets that are being released!  Seven!

I chose to use Stocking Girl for my card.  New Christmas pj's and extra large stockings stuffed full of good stuff is the way we roll in our family.  My Mom actually made our stocking when we were young and when I got married and had children, she made matching ones for my family.  They have huge sentimental value to me and they are adorable.  So I was tickled to ink up this cutie!  I paper pieced her pj's and mounted her on the new Oval Dainty Doily die.  I added a felt heart cut with the Hearts A Plenty Die-namics and cut my sentiment to fit.  The papers are all from My Mind's Eye.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on November 1 at 10 PM EST:

MFT Teasers - Knit Happens!

Hope you're having a fabulous Sunday so far.  We're back today with Day 5 of MFT Teasers for the November release and today we're showing you two new à la modes sets.  I've made a card with Knit Happens.  I love how she's perched on that ball of yarn - even if I can't knit a stitch!

I coloured her up with my copics to match the My Mind's Eye papers that I chose, and paired her with the new Loopy Bloom Die-namics which I cut from felt.  I added some stitching and the sentiment on small tabs and called it good!

MFT Teasers - Christmas Ornaments

Happy Saturday and welcome back to Day 4 of MFT Teasers for the November release.  Today I'm showing you a card I made with the new Christmas Ornaments Die-namics and Stamp set.  And don't forget that as of Tuesday at 10pm EST MFT will be selling most of its dies on their own as well!

I couldn't help but pull out my silver embossing powder for this set - ornaments should be sparkly!  I die cut the ornament shapes on some patterned papers and then stamped them in Versamark and covered them with silver embossing powder.  I also coated the ornament tops in embossing powder.  I added a sentiment that comes in the set and stamped chains for them to hang on in Memento London Fog ink.  I matted my layers in a sparkly silver paper and some matching red cardstock.  Simple but pretty.

I finished the inside off with some more sentiments from the set (I love how you can build your own phrases) and some of the smaller dies.

MFT Teasers - Clearly Sentimental About Christmas

Whew!  It's Friday!  This week has seemed endless and it's nice that the end is in sight!  The highlight of my week has definitely been the MFT teasers.  And we're back with Day 3 of teasers for the November release.  Today we're focusing on the Clearly Sentimental sets.  I made a couple cards to show you with this month's Triple Scoop set - Clearly Sentimental About Christmas.  This set is yours free with a $60 purchase.  Who doesn't like free?

I recently got a couple of new pads of Christmas paper from My Mind's Eye.  Well, new to me.  They'd been released a couple of years ago but I think were just recently made into 6x6 pads.  And I found this gorgeous paper in one of them and thought that with a sentiment it would make a quick, easy, yet still gorgeous card.  So I stamped the sentiment in red ink, added some rhinestones and matted the papers.  Voila!  I love that this is extremely mail-able and won't require any extra postage.

I also made a card using the new Clearly Sentimental Label Die-namics.  This label is sized perfectly for all of the Clearly Sentimental sets - genius!  Because I had my heart set upon using this sentiment, I cut the edges off and matted it on a second label so it wouldn't get lost in the middle.  I just love the font - the way the "L" is turned into a heart is gorgeous.  And funny enough, when I see the bird above it, I sometimes read it as "Dove".  The mind plays funny tricks!  I thought the bird from Die-namics Contempo Cage set could pass for a dove if done in white and I think I was right.  I also cut a Leafy Flourish and lopped the end off for my olive branch and used the Scallop Ribbon Border as my vertical element.  This layout is this week's Wednesday sketch challenge - I wanted to give it another go.

For the inside I used the new Crown Border die as well as the rest of my Leafy Flourish and another sentiment from the set.

MFT Teasers - Fred Bear Catches Some ZZZ's

Welcome back to Day 2 of MFT Teasers for the November release.  I'm tickled to get to show you a new Fred Bear set today.  I just love this bear - he's so cute!  This month he's taking a snooze along with his squeaky friend!

I stamped him on a cream perfect panel and coloured him with my copics.  I wet a terry rag with blender solution and applied it to him to get that mottled look and texture.  I mounted him on the new Oval Dainty Doily Die-namics die and also used the new Wonky Scallop Border in felt along the bottom of the card.  I stamped the sentiment on one of the banners from the First Place Award Ribbon die set.   Oh and did you hear?  MFT will now be selling most of its dies separately!  Which means you can purchase this die on its own, without the stamp set!  I love the way MFT listens to its customers!

I used another Wonky Scallop Border on the inside and stamped the second part of the sentiment!  Love this one!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #43

It's time again for the MFT sketch challenge.  I was happy to see this long rectangular panel on this week's sketch because it gave me a good excuse to pull out an à la mode.  This is Miss You a Latte and she's one of my very favorites.

I stamped her on X-Press It blending cardstock and coloured her with my copics.  I embellished her with a Fancy Flourish and also used the Simply Scallops die, as well as the Ticket Tab die and one of the sentiments from the Essential Sentiments set.

I stamped my image again on the inside in Rich Cocoa ink and used another strip of paper cut with the Simply Scallops die.

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread). You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

MFT Teasers - Who's That Girl Gets Cozy

Welcome to Day 1 of MFT Teasers for the November release.  Today we're showing you the newest Who's That Girl set.  You may recognize this image from the VIP kit that was available a couple of weeks ago.  It sold out fast!  I'm especially fond of these girls in the circle - they just speak to me!

I stamped her on a cream perfect paper panel and then again on a couple different pieces of Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather papers.  I pieced the entire image and shaded it with my warm grey copics - W1, W3 and just a touch of W5.  I also used the new Oval Dainty Doily die as a panel and the new Icicle Border die.  I cut my cream cardstock with the icicle die, then ran it through my little "X" zyron machine.  I peeled the backing off and dumped some glitter all over it.  So the border is all sparkly in real life.  I also used the new Loopy Bloom cut out of some cream felt.  I love how poofy it is!

I stamped one of the accessory images on the inside of my card but left it without a sentiment so it can be used for whatever occasion I may need it for.

Waltzing Mouse Sketch For You To Try

Well good morning!  I wanted to pop on and share another card that I made with October's Sketch for You to Try.  There's still time for you to play along and all the details are over on Jen's blog.  I was so tickled to receive this Peace & Plenty set from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I love Shaker boxes, we actually were gifted a set when we got married and so this image really spoke to me.  I also must admit that this was my first experience with WMS and it definitely won't be the last.  Their stamps are gorgeous and high quality.

I stamped the image on X-Press It blending cardstock and coloured the basket up with E11, 13, 15, 17 and 18.  The apples were coloured with R22, 24, 27, 27 and R59.  I used some Basic Grey papers (from It's a Party?) and added some stitching and a bit of crochet trim.

Huge thanks to our sponsor this month - Waltzing Mouse Stamps.  I know I'll be back for sure!

And in case you need it, here's the October sketch!

October Krafty Hop!

Do YOU know what day it is? It’s Krafty RELEASE Day! Today Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is releasing their new October stamps and there’s SO much to SEE!

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of FUN new stamps for you to get inky with. We’ve got something for everyone! There is a fun new trio of SNOWPEEPS from Cheryl Alger.  We have a super fun set of five animals having fun in the white stuff from Emilie Goulet called the WINTER WONDERLAND collection.  And of course we have an amazing new set of six EVERYDAY GIRLS from Annie Rodrigue.

You will get to see most of the new images today as you sit back and enjoy our OCTOBER Krafty Hop! If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog.  As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release.  And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available.

And of course, as always, we have our Gimme Kimmies Kits available for those of you who "need it all". The stamps are grouped together by artist and are available at a discount, but only for a limited time.

For my card today, I've used Winnie.  I just love all the stuff caught in her hair - totally reminds me of my daughter!  I paper pieced her robe using some My Mind's Eye papers and added a felt border strip to match.  I split up the sentiment by selectively inking it and used the other part on the inside of the card.

Thanks so much for hopping by!  Your next stop along the hop is to the super sweet Pam.  Have a great day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Sophia

Happy Saturday and welcome to another Krafty challenge!  This week the fabulous Pam has a sketch challenge for us.  And in addition it's peek day for the Moonlight Whispers line!  I had the pleasure of meeting Annie last weekend (the illustrator) and she is such a sweetie!  I picked Sophia to show you today.  I just loved her hair and her attitude.  I paired her with some My Mind's Eye papers and used a bracket shape rather than a circle behind my image.  I also added a fancy flourish in the corner for embellishment.

So make sure you pop over to the challenge blog to check out the sketch and the samples/peeks from the Krafty Girls and Guests!  Don't forget to leave comments as 2 lucky stampers will each win 3 of Annie's new stamps!  And check back on Sunday for our new release blog hop.  All the new stamps will be available in the Kraftin' Kimmie store on Sunday as well.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you back here soon.

Krafty Peeks - Kool Kitty

Welcome back for Day 2 of Krafty peeks for the October Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps release.  Today we have a whole bunch of new images to show you from Emilie Goulet and I've chosen this Kool Kitty.  I just love how mischievous he looks!  And so unimpressed by the snow.  I can relate - I get so sick of shoveling by the end of the winter!  I stamped kitty out on some X-Press It blending cardstock and coloured him with copics.  I paired him with some Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather papers and embellished with lots of glitter!

Here's a close up of all the glitter I used as well as the black glaze pen I used on his nose and the liquid applique I added to the top of his toque.  There's a good Canadian word for you - toque (or sometimes tuque)!  Otherwise known as a hat, or stocking cap to others.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to check all of the Krafty Girls and Guests - the links can be found over on the Krafty blog.  And also remember to leave comments because one lucky stamper will win all 5 new stamps being shown today.  I'll see you back here tomorrow for another peek - it's Moonlight Whispers day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks - Frosty Winter Friends

Happy Thursday!  It's that time again - time for another Kraftin' Kimmie release!  All the fabulous new stamps will be available on Sunday Oct. 23rd in the Kraftin' Kimmie store.  In the meantime, you can check out all the Krafty Girls and Guests who have peeks to share with you by checking out the links on the Krafty blog each day.  And don't forget to leave comments as you visit, because one lucky person will win all three stamps from today's peeks!

Today we get to show you Cheryl Alger's adorable snowmen!  Love them all - but I fell head over heels with this guy.  Maybe because my whole family has long skinny legs like that!  And those birds?  Ack!  I coloured him with my copics on X-Press It blending cardstock and used a Taylored Expression sketch from a couple weeks ago.  I added some twine and some buttons that I die cut from felt.  And of course I added brads to his wool coat!

So don't forget to visit the other Krafty Girls and leave comments for your chance to win some free stamps.  And come back tomorrow for another peek, k?

MFT VIP - Who's That Girl Gets Cozy With Cocoa!

Wow - how time flies!  I can't believe it's time for the VIP release over at MFT!  This is a limited quantity product that's available two whole weeks early - before its release to the general public.  This is a fabulous value because in addition to this brand new stamp set and Die-namics die, you also get a free coordinating mini set.  Who doesn't like free?  You can see all the details and links to all the designers sharing projects over on Kim's blog.

I decided to make a cocoa box with this darling set.  I used a template that I had seen a long time back on Debbie Olson's blog and decided to make my image into a belly band to keep the box closed.  I paper pieced the entire image with some older Stampin' Up papers and then matted it on some olive green cardstock cut with a nestability die.

Here's a picture with the belly band removed.

I stamped a sentiment from the set on the You Move Me Die-namics die and embellished with the Hearts A Plenty die and the Let It Snowflake Trio die.

The VIP collection is available now over in the MFT boutique, right HERE.  You'll want to snap yours up quick before they're all gone!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Getting My Kraft On At Krafty Day!

It's KRAFTY DAY!!! As most of you probably know, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is putting on a fantastic event today with all the local stampers and scrappers! Since most of our online friends aren't able to join us, except in spirit, we thought we'd do something special!

The attendees of Krafty Day will enjoy a lovely KKS tote bag filled with goodies and one of those goodies is a special commemorative stamp, created especially for the event!! It's called Best Friends! Well, how would YOU like to get one too?!! Beginning today and running only until Friday, October 21st, each and every order over $75 before shipping and taxes will receive this stamp for FREE!! How about that??!!

Here's a card I made to show you this new stamp.  How awesome are these girlies?  I paired them with some My Mind's Eye papers and a sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch challenge.  I split up the sentiment so that half of it is on the front....

...and the other half is in the inside of the card.

Make sure you check out the challenge blog to find links to all the Krafty Girls sharing projects with this special stamp today.  Well as you're reading this I'm either on my way to Krafty Day or I'm there having tons of fun!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #100 - Show Us Your Fave!

It's celebration time at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps today!! Do you know why? Well, actually it's for a couple of reasons! Firstly, if you've noticed the challenge number.....today is our 100th KKS Challenge!!! Woohoo! And secondly, this month marks Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' SECOND BIRTHDAY!!! Can you believe it?? So we're doing something special to mark the occasion!  Have you ever wanted to be a Krafty Girl?? Think ya got what it takes?? Well, here's your chance to show it!! Our challenge for this week is to USE YOUR FAVOURITE KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMP! That's it...nothin' fancy!
And since I'm a fickle kind of gal I think that every new stamp is my fave Kraftin' Kimmie stamp! LOL - I'm so indecisive. Lately I've loved playing with the new O Holy Night Nativity Set and so I made a card with the Three Wise Men stamp and one of my favorite sentiments.  I paired the image with some Echo Park Seasons Greetings papers and a glittery die cut star.  The background cardstock is actually a dark brown, even though it's showing as black.

So to enter, just make us a creation featuring one of your fave KKStamps and share it on the KKStamps blog! Link it up with the little blue froggie and leave us a message in the comment section telling us that you're applying for the job! The winner will receive a package of new release stamps and will be joining us for the challenges and krafty peeks for the month of December!! (You can still play along if you're not applying to be a Krafty Girl and we'll have our regular weekly winner!)
Also, you've probably heard that tomorrow is our annual Krafty Day that we are holding for the local stampers and scrappers!! Well, we thought we'd like to do something special for our online krafty friends who can't be with us in person......so come on back tomorrow to find out what we've got goin' on!! It's exciting!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #41

I'm so excited to finally get a chance to play along with the MFT sketch challenge ahead of time!   It's been a while and I've sorely missed it.

I loved this sketch and immediately saw the First Class Friend Die-namics and Stamp set when I looked at it.  So I pulled it out and also decided to add this little Pure Innocence - Making a List cutie to it.  I paired her with some Authentique papers (how perfect is that postage stamp paper?) and added a stamped/die-cut element in the top right corner instead of the three little circle embellishments that were in the sketch.

I finished the inside off with some more stamped die-cuts and a sentiment from the set.  That little pink square in the bottom right corner is actually a tiny envelope - but the detail is lost with my poor photography skills.  It's so cute!

I hope you'll play along with us!  Thanks so much for stopping by!
