Our designers will show you what you can do with the negative space after you cut out your Die-namics, or the other half of patterned paper, cardstock or felt that is leftover when you're done with your Die-namics! Visit Kim's Blog to see exactly what we've been up to, you'll find a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!
I decided to use the negative sides of a couple of my dies for this challenge. For my card front, I used the By The Numbers die and cut the purple cardstock with it. I mounted some patterned paper behind the "6" and then simply adhered the small dot which is the center of the six to the patterned paper. I love the way this looks in real life - gives it more interest and depth - you'll have to trust me on that. I also used Pure Innocence Princess and the Oval Decorative Doily die to finish off the card. The layout is this week's MFT Wednesday sketch challenge although I may have tweaked it just a bit. I made this card for my daughter's friend who is crazy about the movie "Tangled". I'm hoping the pink, purple, and gold is enough to suggest Rapunzel.
For the inside of my card, I stamped a sentiment from Pure Innocence Birthday Princess and then used the "positive" portion of my #6 as well as the negative portion of a piece I cut the other day with the Oval Decorative Doily Die. Obviously you don't get the same detail when you use the negative portion, but I love the shape anyway.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to go and see how the rest of the design team has interpreted this challenge!
