MFT Teasers - Honey Bee!

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned many times in the past that Mondays are my favorite teaser day because that's when we preview the new Pure Innocence sets! This cute little girl is such a honey (groan, I know!). I love that she can be a Halloween-ish stamp but also just an everyday stamp as well. I paired her with some Doodlebug paper and messy stitched around the edges.
I used one of this month's new Die-Namics, the Perfect Petal Trio, as well as the Rolled Flower die (currently being restocked) and the Flower Trio and Leaf Trio and cut some Banana Split felt (currently being restocked). I love the way these three different flowers look all combined. I also threw in the Open Scallop Border along the bottom of the image. I sewed some Earth Girl buttons into the middles of the flowers and stuck a pearl adornment in the middle of the rolled flower. The layout is from Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.

Here's some things to know about this month's release:

MFT Teasers - Wyatt the Conductor

Hello all! Welcome to Day 2 of September's MFT Teasers! Today we're previewing 3 sets and if you check Kim's blog after 11am EST you'll find a list of all the designers with projects to share!

For my card I chose to use this month's Wyatt set. When my son was younger he was into Thomas the Train big time, so this set holds a special place in my heart.

I paired Wyatt with some Basic Grey Oliver paper and coloured him up to match. I used some baby braddies on his overalls and again in the upper right corner (rumor has it that there's a new neutral baby braddie collection being released this month too). See the stars along the bottom? That's one of the new Die-Namics releasing this month - the star border! I cut it from the Earth Girl felt. A simple card but perfect for adding to my "boy card" stash!

Here's some things to know about this month's release:
  • Check the MFT blog everyday at 11am EST for a list of designers sharing teasers for that day. Leave comments on the designer blogs for your chance to win one of the sets being previewed that day. The winners are posted the next day at 11am EST.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Pearly Whites!

Happy Saturday friends! It's challenge day over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and this week's task is to show us your pearly whites! And apparently I don't know how to read, because I only nailed half the challenge.

I used Snow White and paired her with some October Afternoon papers. I used pearls in the corners and in her hair, and used a mother of pearl button - but sadly I am lacking in the white department. You'll just have to use your imagination there and forgive me! Hee hee!

The layout is from Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge and I coloured Snow White in her traditional colours since I wanted to use the matching sentiment for the inside "You're the apple of my eye".

Hope you'll come play along over on the challenge blog. Remember that if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and link up, you're eligible to win a free stamp! Good deal!

I'll just end this post by thanking my friend Kimmie for asking me to be a Krafty Guest this month. I've had such an amazing time working with her awesome stamps and playing along with her super talented design team. Thanks Kimmie! You rock!

Paper Romance Sketch Challenge

Hey friends! I'm back after a quick camping trip with my family. We had a great time and I didn't take any stamping stuff with me, so now I'm back and ready to roll!

Thursdays are challenge day over at the Paper Romance Challenge blog and this week Cindy's cooked up an awesome sketch for us to play with! Did you know that Paper Romance is now carrying a selection of Kraftin' Kimmie stamps? For my card today I chose to use Zelda the Zombie. I cut her out and decided to cut off the bolts coming out of her head. I used myself as inspiration as we don't yet have a camping coffee pot so I was missing my daily dose while we were camping.

I paired Zelda with some October Afternoon Fly a Kite papers and added a denim print in there as well.

Hope you'll play along with this awesome sketch! Link up over on the challenge blog and you'll be entered to win a $5 gift certificate. And lookie - because this is the lucky 13th challenge here at Paper Romance, Amy is celebrating with a Sale!! Use code: LUCKY13 in the shopping cart to take10% off your orders! Psst... This will take an additional 10% off items that are already on sale!! Sale ends on Aug. 31st at Midnight!

Alrighty friends, I'm off to tackle my mountains of laundry! I'll see you Saturday for another Kraftin' Kimmie challenge and on Sunday for MFT teasers! This month's release is spectacular!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge - Stars!

Hey friends! Happy Saturday! Saturdays are challenge day over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and I'm playing along for the rest of the month as a guest Krafty girl. This week's challenge is to brighten up your creation with stars!

I wanted to use a mermaid for my card, since so far I'd only inked up one! When I spotted the stars in Cordelia's hair, I knew it was meant to be (lol)! I paired her with some old Basic Grey paper cause it reminded me of a water reflection. I used the out of the box technique again with my Nestability for her fin, hair, and one of the shells in her hair. I covered her fins and tail with glitter, and added some liquid applique to the pearls in her hair. If you let it dry and don't heat it, it stays all pearl like!

Can you see my stars? I used these Sticky Stars, which are cut from redline adhesive, and adhered them to my patterned paper. I then covered them with clear glitter. I was going for understated, but I'm thinking they're a little too subtle.
They show up much better in real life!

I hope you'll play along over on the blog! If you use Kraftin' Kimmie stamps in your entry then you're eligible to win a free stamp. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, copics
Paper: MFT Perfect panel, Basic Grey Skate Shoppe, Soft Suede
Accessories: Nestabilities, MFT Die-Namics Oval Chain Border, MFT felt, Earth Girl Button, twine, Redline sticky stars, clear glitter, word window punch, clear rhinestone, ribbon, Sakura clear glaze pen

Paper Romance Challenge - Metal!

Hey all! It's time for another Paper Romance challenge. This week we're to use metal! I added a metal charm and some metal brads to this cute Bildmalarna Mimosa Dock image. The papers are October Afternoon and the layout is yesterday's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast.

Hope you'll play along with us! Link your entry over on the Paper Romance challenge blog for your chance to win a $5 gift certificate and don't forget to check out all the beautiful samples by the amazingly talented design team!

I'm off for a busy day so I'll catch up with you later and keep this short and sweet! Thanks for stopping by!

MFT VIP Hop - Well Read!

Welcome to the MFT VIP Hop! If you've arrived here via Alex's blog, you're on the right track. If you're just stumbling upon this post, you'll want to go back to the beginning - at Kim's blog.

The VIP kit is now available in the MFT store for one day only, or while supplies last. This month's kit is chock full of all kinds of yummy stuff - including an unreleased Die-Namics die and September's Who's That Girl set. By ordering the VIP kit, you get the set a full 2 weeks before it releases to the public. You also get a free mini set - the Wendy alphabet, which is the signature MFT font and is sized perfectly for the Banner Day die.

I decided to paper piece WTG's couch with some October Afternoon paper. I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge (Mercy was also this week's MFT fab friend!) and added some more OA papers - I just had to use the text paper. I used some more of that yummy crochet ribbon, big surprise there, lol (currently being re-stocked) and added some brads, a button and twine. This set comes with awesome sentiments - I had a hard time deciding which one to use!
I dressed up the inside of the card with some matching paper and the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop die. Here's a look at the goodies in this month's kit and all the deets! Take a gander at that striped twill - swoon!! Can't wait to get my hands on some of that!
Well, that's all I've got to show you! Your next stop along the hop is the amazing Susan!! She stamps a lot! (tee hee) Don't miss out on this month's VIP kit as well as the two new à la modes that are also releasing tonight! Later taters!

Time to Celebrate!

Hey friends! I'm back today with another MFT Teaser. This is the second à la mode releasing tonight! Don't forget that these stamps are deeply etched rubber and come with cushion and backing so they're ready to stick to your acrylic block.

I paired my stamp with some Basic Grey Olivia papers and used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. It doesn't show well in the picture, but the icing on the cake is covered with Crystal Effects, making it all shiny and glossy. I used the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop die along the top of the black panel and embellished with some of these yummy adornments.

I decked the inside of the card out using the Die-Namics Jumbo Ric Rac die and the Banner Day die. I'm loving finishing off the insides of my cards these days and the dies make it super easy and slick looking!

Kim will have a list of all the designers sharing teasers today on her blog after 11am EST. The à la modes will be released tonight at 10pm EST and will be available for purchase in the MFT store.

You can also purchase the VIP kit which is on sale for 1 day only or while supplies last. It's your chance to purchase the newest Who's That Girl set 2 weeks early (and this month's kit includes one of the new Die-Namics dies too!). This month's set is fabulous! Check back tonight at 10pm EST for a peek! Thanks for stopping by!

Peace Out!

Hey all! I'm back today with an MFT teaser! There are 2 new à la modes releasing tomorrow night and they are super cute!

This is Groovy girl and I must admit that she's a girl after my own heart with her nifty Birkenstock sandals! I layered her on top of a whole bunch of die cut layers (including the Framed Greetings die) and paired her with some groovy Doodlebug papers and sugar coated cardstock.
I did some messy stitching and added a flower cut with the Die-Namics Flower Trio and Leaf Trio die. I added some more flowers on the inside of my card as well. I love the sentiments that come with this à la mode!

Don't forget to visit the MFT blog after 11am EST today for a full list of all the designers sharing teasers today! See you tomorrow for another teaser and for the VIP Hop!

Kraftin' Kimmie August Release Krafty Hop

Welcome to the August release Krafty Hop! All of the new stamps are now available for purchase in the Kraftin' Kimmie store! If you've come here from Krista's blog, you're on the right track. If you've just stumbled upon this post, you'll want to go back to the beginning of the hop, over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog.

For my card I used one of the new Annie Rodrigue images - Fred & Ginger. I'm not sure how much dancing they're actually doing though. I coloured the image with copics and paired it with some more Basic Grey Eerie paper. I used the "out of the box" technique with my nestie so that Fred's cloak would hangover the edge. I added a couple of die cut shapes, used some rub-ons for the sentiment, and fashioned a flower onto a hatpin.

As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!! OH and did we mention? Each and every order placed this week, will be entered into a draw. One lucky customer will win a 5x7 print of Annie's Batty Princess!!

Also we're doing something new this month! For those of you who just HAVE to have all the new images, we've got the solution. It's called the Gimme Kimmies Kit! Instead of adding each image to your cart, you only have to click once to pick up a Gimme Kimmies Kit AND it's at a discounted price. What could be better?

Thanks so much for stopping by! Your next stop along the hop is Jeanne. Quick - go see what amazing creation she has to show you!

Krafty Peeks - Day 3!

Hey friends! I'm back today with another Kraftin' Kimmie sneak peek of one of the images being released Sunday. Meet Zelda the Zombie! I love her! As it's Saturday, it's also challenge day over on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog, and this week's challenge was to use buttons, bling, and scallops.
I coloured Zelda using my copics, and gave her some wild zombie hair. I covered her shirt with my copic spica pen to "bling it up" (it's all the rage in zombie fashion!). The layout is from last week's Sketch for You to Try and the papers are Basic Grey Eerie.

I covered my brads with stickles to bling them up too, and coated her bolts with a clear Sakura glaze pen.
I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge! If you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp on your card and link up over on the blog, you're entered in the draw to win a free stamp! So strut your stuff - show us what you've got!

Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you back tomorrow for the Kraftin' Kimmie August release blog hop!

Kraftin' Kimmie Previews - Day 2!

Happy Friday! I am super excited today because I get to share a Krafty peek for this month's release over at Kraftin' Kimmie stamps! I am so honoured to be joining the incredibly talented Krafty girls this month and can't wait until you see what's in store!

Today I'm sharing a card made with Halloween Miles & Maisie. Aren't they cute as a vampire and bride of Frankenstein? I coloured them with my copics and sponged around the image with some Versamagic Wheat chalk ink. I paired them with some Doodlebug paper and a Melissa Frances bingo card.

Check out the Kraftin' Kimmie blog for links to all the designers with Day 2 peeks! I'll be back tomorrow with another spooky sneak peek! Thanks for dropping by!

MFT Greatest Hits

If you're looking for my Paper Romance challenge card, click HERE or scroll down!

Hey all! Two posts in one day? Can you believe it? Well today is Greatest Hits day at MFT and when I heard that we were using the Clearly Sentimental line, I had to join in. I am loving these sentiment sets and reach for them often. They're perfect for both the insides and outsides of cards. Be sure to check in at Kim's blog at 11am EST for a list of all the designers sharing projects today.

I decided to go clean and simple with my card and let the sentiment stand on its own. This particular verse is from Clearly Sentimental about Mothers but I love that it can be used for anyone.

I used a Fossil notecard and created a rainbow from a bunch of different colors of MFT felt. Can you guess how I created the rainbow? Here's a hint - it was super quick.
I actually used the Die-Namics Rolled Flower Die and cut off the outer circle of each color. They nested together perfectly. I covered the ends with some clouds I cut using more MFT felt and the Cloud Trio die. The button is from the Earth Girl collection and I just threaded it with some linen thread.

To celebrate Greatest Hits day, Kim has a special offer. Since you'll *need* a couple of your very own Clearly Sentimental sets, we're offering a full sized Clearly Sentimental set to you for only $10 with an order of $30 or greater.

After selecting the
Clearly Sentimental set of your choice, and other items to total greater than $30, enter code CSPROMO at checkout to save $5.95! This offer is good until midnight Friday so go quick!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll see you tomorrow for a Kraftin' Kimmie sneak peek! Oops - did I forget to mention that I'm a guest Krafty girl this month? How lucky am I? Check it out here and see who's joining me this month!

Paper Romance Challenge - Bling on the Pink!

Hey friends! It's time for another Paper Romance challenge. This week's challenge was to use pink and bling (thus my title - get it?).

I used this super cute High Hopes stamp called Tutu Sweet and I think I love the name as much as the image! Her tutu begged to be coloured pink, so I caved and did just that.

I then covered much of it with my spica pen to make it all blingy. I used some glitter crystals in the corners and stuck a Swarovski rhinestone in the middle of her flower. I wish you could see how sparkly the whole thing is in real life! I used this week's Mercy sketch challenge for the layout (although I flipped it) so it came together pretty quickly.

So won't you play along with us? Link your card up over on the Paper Romance Challenge blog and be eligible to win a Paper Romance gift certificate! Thanks for stopping by!

A Very Belated Winner!

I am SO sorry! I was the holder of the blog hopper candy for the August MFT Shop & Hop! I should have posted this late last week - but anyway!

Random.org picked #8 which is Amy!

Congrats Amy!! I'm sending you an email now!

Re-made Make & Take

Hey all! Hope you had a great weekend! I did! I whipped together a quick card using one of the make & takes that I squeezed in at CHA. That felt flower on the card was one of the Papertrey Friday projects and was originally on a pin backing. I decided to pull it apart and pair it with some of my new goodies.

I used some ledger paper and the Signature Greetings stamp set as well as added some felt ribbon from my stash. Super simple!

I must admit that while I was making this card and choosing the sentiment, I was thinking of all the amazing people that I met at CHA. And I was kind of wishing for a different sentiment - more along the lines of "You make me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants". But alas - there was no such sentiment in the set! Darn! So this one will have to do!

Have a great day friends!

Paper Romance Teen Card Challenge

Hey friends! I am tickled pink to let you know that I am a guest designer for Paper Romance for the month of August. I'm so looking forward to joining Amy and her super talented design team for the next month! This week's challenge over on the Paper Romance Challenge blog is to make a teen themed card.

I must admit that this one stumped me a bit. The stamps that I have didn't scream "teen" to me, so I decided to concentrate on the papers and embellishments. I figured that nothing said teen like grungy, metal, denim, and ledger paper. Make sense?
If that doesn't work for you then I'll just change my story! The goose's backside reminded me of the teens who wear their pants so low that you can see their bum! You choose whichever story you like best and I'll go along with it!

I used High Hopes Silly Goose and the matching sentiment. The papers are all distressed and sponged and I added some metal snaps and brads from my stash. The denim was die cut from an old pair of my son's jeans.

Don't forget that you can win a $5 gift certificate to the Paper Romance store just by playing along! Make sure you link your entry on the challenge blog to be eligible to win! Thanks for stopping by!

MFT August Shop & Hop - Goofy For You!

Welcome to the MFT August Shop & Hop! All the new stamps and Die-Namics are now available in the MFT store right HERE! Remember that somewhere along the hop, one of the designers has blog candy - a $15 voucher to the MFT store. But we're not telling you where it's hidden! Make sure you leave comments along the way for the best chance of winning!

If you've come here by way of Jen's blog then you're on the right track. If not, you'll want to head over to Kim's blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

For my card I used one of the new Flapper Doodle sets - Goofy For You! She comes with three awesome sentiments, although I used one from Clearly Sentimental About You so that it matched my bingo card.
If you look carefully, you'll see that I used the new Small Scallop Border Die-Namics die along the bottom of the card, as well as the new Oval Chain Border under the fringe.

Isn't that fringe fabulous? We used it at CHA for one of the MFT make & takes and I begged Kim to let me take some home! Being as she's one of the sweetest people in the world (I can now say this unequivocally since I got to meet her in person!), she did and it found it's way onto my card! I covered the stamped balls on the image with some Swarovski Hotfix pearls and added some stitching and some brads.

Well that's it for me!! Your next stop along the hop is the amazing Barbara. I got to meet her at CHA too and she is so sweet (and her husband is a riot!). And I've peeked at her project and it's stunning! Go now and then go shop!

MFT Teasers - Flapper Doodles!

Hey all! Are you ready to meet some new characters from MFT? These are the Flapper Doodles and they appear in three different sets this month! They are flappers and their sentiments are all in "flapper speak". They're super cute and totally sassy!

For today, I used Flappers in a Vespa and paired them with some Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride papers. I coloured my flappers to match with copic markers and then went over their dresses with a Sakura Stardust pen. I used the Die-Namics Jumbo Scallop Die and layered it with the Scalloped Scallop Die. I added some of that yummy ruffled ribbon to the top of my scallop strip. I also used a copic multi-liner to draw in the ground and covered the metal parts of the Vespa with Sakura Clear Glaze Pen to make them all shiny!

I finished off the inside of the card with another Jumbo Scallop strip and stamped the image again in London Fog ink.
Ready for some TOP-SECRET news? Today, there is a prize hidden on one of the designer's blog posts. As you make your way through the Teaser Time posts, simply leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win one of the Brand Spankin' New stamp sets being released on August 4th. Be sure to check tomorrow to see if YOU are the winner. You can play along each day for your chance to win. We will be giving away NINE new stamp sets this week!
